Catalog Totals

www.movielink.com has the largest library. I noticed you didn't mention them, or cinemanow, the other big player.

To -- davykrieger: Why I didn't mention MovieLink, CinemaNow and others like Vongo

Hey, davykrieger. I'm glad you asked. In my story for the NY Times last year (All the Films You Want to See, but When? - http://joeygadget.com/2007/06/20/new-york-times-all-the-films-you-want-to-see-but-when-by-joe-hutsko/) I wrote about MovieLink and the other download-to-PC movie download services in some detail, with a wrap up about how movie downloads will only reach the wider general audience when they can be downloaded or streamed directly to the device attached to the TV and are as easy to use as a cable box or DVD player. These are known as direct-to-device products and what I'm interested in vs. services like MovieLink which I intentionally left out of the story. Thanks for taking the time to comment. --Joe Hutsko
