I searched their website and couldn't find any mention of voting machines for sale.

In view of all the problems they've had with their voting machines, instead of calling themselves Premier how about Acme?

And renamed it a Diebold division. So this is just more of the same. They will probably sell it off soon as it is not a profitable division at least in the US. It's marginally profitable overseas.

A rose by any other name would still smell just as sweet.

Diebold's touch-screens weren't in wide use in Ohio in 2004, the state where I've defended Bush's win (and where activists like RFK Jr. say the theft occurred).

Moreover, as Cornell's Walter Mebane proved in his study for the DNC: "Kerry's support across precincts also increased with the support for Eric Fingerhut, the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, and decreased with the support for Issue 1 (ballot initiative opposing same-sex marriage) and increased with the proportion of African American votes. Again this is the pattern that would be expected and is not consistent with claims of widespread fraud that misallocated votes from Kerry to Bush."

But I thought Diebold has nothing to hide, Farhad. Even though your article before the election said they could rig the election and NOBODY WOULD KNOW, your article after the election assured us that they had not, in fact, rigged the election. So, I can have the same faith in Premier that your articles on election fraud gave me in Diebold.

...I'd say, "Screw this! If they want to jerk us around on these tinfoil-hat allegations about our voting machines, forget it!" Why bother to invest, if they're not making anything out of it?

I don't see why I should care about touch-screen voting.

I do care about vote fraud, and so I am quite pleased with the President's emphasizing vote fraud investigation as a goal in the Justice Department. And I hope that more convictions come out of the many ACORN-related leftwing voter registration scandals.

And finally, I'm pleased that the left has wasted whatever time and resources they have on chasing the Diebold e-voting phantom. Makes no difference to me...
