If it's Sony, it's more dangerous laptop batteries

Toshiba recalls notebook batteries manufactured by Sony. Wait, didn't this already happen?

yeah but...

Sony led the way in revolutionizing battery technology. My first experience with their quantum leap is when they came out with their TRV 900 camera... which had a battery that would last three or four hours. This camera was replacing my Canon Hi-8... a camera that had been state of the art five or six years before... and with luck... could run nearly 45 minutes with their best battery.

Now..here we are a tech lifetime from that time, and a few of their batteries are heating up. It will all work out....

recalls

Has Sony recalled any of their own products? I had an S laptop that seemed to run nice and cool but my new SZ laptop runs very hot with or without the battery in place. It causes me some concern.
