No wonder it doesn't work - where are the magnets?

Everybody knows the really classy perpetual motion machines are built on magnets' invisible action-at-a-distance. Didn't they read "Proving That All Scientists Are Wrong Except You, for Dummies"?

How about some reporting on what's behind this?

Okay, obviously this is a hoax or a scam. I don't think anyone needed a reporter to make fun of the lack of AC to figure this out. The interesting questions are: What's the motivation behind this hoax? Who are these people? Why would anyone have fallen for this?

How about some actual reporting on the story, rather than just taking easy pot shots?

Conservation of Energy and Emmy Noether

In 1918, Emmy Noether proved that the various conservation laws are a consequence of symmetries of the universe. The law of conservation of energy is a direct consequence of the time-independence of the universe.

Let me say that again: the fact an experiment done today will show the same result as an experiment done yesterday directly implies the law of conservation of energy.

So are these charlatans willing to claim that an experiment done on Tuesday will behave differently from that experiment done on Thursday?

nothing new here

Every generation there are several free energy/perpetual motion scams...

No surprise here. There will be more down the road. Shame on those who actually invest in these schemes.
