I completely agree. And to have it on a Thursday night just adds to the insult. It shouldn't have to compete for weekend time with the playoffs.

I'm sure these assclowns only want to fly down to the game to hob nob with wealthy donors in their luxury box seats, plying themselves with steak, brie and champagne while securing money for their next election.

Otherwise, they could get a much better view of the game from their living room chairs in their homes in Virginia (that's where most of them live while in session). The game starts around 8-8:30pm. Even with late votes, they should be able to get home in plenty of time (even if they don't have DVR).

The world doesn't revolve around sports championships. Come Friday morning, nobody but a couple of disappointed congressmen are going to remember this row.
