Have hamburger and onion skills...

Will move to England, maybe. Depends, maybe on the outcome of this election.

not just Indians

The Thai press was full of stories about Thai cooks and kitchen help also being threatened with being tossed out of the uK.

Having just returned from London I can tell you that you don't want to flee there after the election. It was shocking how expensive things were there. Maybe it's not as bad in other parts of the UK.

Money prevails

Hey Andy,

I find this a close parallel to what has happened over the last few weeks with the LPGA. First, that governing body wanted all contestants to be able to at least speak some English, so that those who pay money to play along side of the pros are able converse with them.

Although this was first viewed as marginally racist. The LPGA insisted that they were only looking after the fans and the need to keep the sport participant friendly and the advertisers happy. Then, after checking on where the advertising revenue was coming from, discovered a huge chunk of money coming from broadcast and advertising in those country's where the women golfers live.

Viola, the English rule was rescinded. Did that action have to do with offending foreign advertisers and sponsors. Or the dirty slip of American Racism? In either case money prevails.
