  • Are We Sure It's Not?

    Here's the thing: our inflation numbers don't count the price of energy or food. Those prices have been rising much faster than the general inflation rate. I think it's reasonable at this point to say that the actual inflation rate is currently under-reported. Further, I suspect a "total" inflation value would more than erase the growth rate.

    Regardless, what is most definitely not happening is a normal growth rate.
