Now raw diamonds will be processed in Africa, instead of Antwerp. But what will China and India think of that?
  • Skill set gap replaced by computers

Botswana is a good example of globalization because in Botswana the skill set for polishing gems is lacking. Lev Leviev, who ushered in a new era of computer diamond polishing is force behind Botswana and Namibia and Angola's entry into the polishing end of the business. The workers can be paid far less because they have less skill and computer controlled machines similar in principle to CNC milling machines do the complex work. The key company doing this work in Africa is Africa Israel Investments, a major partner in the DeBeers Cartel.

Saloniks please note: Lev Leviev is a Bukharin Chabad Orthodox British-Israeli Jew. Set hate mail to stun.
