Call to arms
The Economist is merely telling their neocon and ideological movement 'conservative readers (read fascists) to roll out the dirty tricks, and win by any means possible. They may fear Obama, but they don't love Clinton. As for a honeymoon, nanoseconds might be too long by an order of magnitude. If the Rethugs don't destroy the Democrat in the campaign or election, whomever it is will have a fight from the moment the 'election' is decided. This bunch of thugs knows only how to attack, and they do it well.
