My understanding is that you don't get a rebate if you make more than $75K and you're a single filer or if you make more than $150K and you're a married filer. I think Andrew Leonard's original piece isn't quite clear on this point. He writes: "$600 for individuals, $1,200 for married couples, or about half as much for those Americans who don't pay income tax at all." I don't think his description is as nuanced as it needs to be.
