Death to the Fed! A Ron Paul manifesto

A return to 19th century economic policy is all the man is asking for. Is that so bad?

Ron Paul subterfuge

Ron Paul, on the surface, seems pragmatic and straightforward. Underneath he is nothing short of an oligarchic elitist. His policies all aim at undermining the principal of a government of laws to be replaced with rule by Corporate interest. All of his policies are carefully crafted to appear to favor the citizen over Government. When one looks more closely, it is easy to see his real agenda: to destroy representative democracy and create a wild west of oligarchical rule.

In Ron Paul's America, Capital is King. Those without have no power or voice. Look at his environmental policy from ronpaul2008.com/issues/environment/:

The key to sound environmental policy is respect for private property rights. The strict enforcement of property rights corrects environmental wrongs while increasing the cost of polluting.

In a free market, no one is allowed to pollute his neighbor's land, air, or water. If your property is being damaged, you have every right to sue the polluter, and government should protect that right. After paying damages, the polluter's production and sale costs rise, making it unprofitable to continue doing business the same way.

Well, that sounds good! Who couldn't get behind that? What green-thinking, red-blooded American doesn't understand that?

But read again, and carefully this time.

If your property is being damaged, you have every right to sue the polluter, and government should protect that right.

You have every right to sue, whether you have the means to sue or not. And the property owner, lets say a large, agri-chemical polluter, has every right to fight back in court with all the means and money at their disposal. And Government will protect that right! So under the Ron Paul Regime for America, the only way to protect your rights is through a lawsuit. In other words, those with the money would have control of everyone's property since without money, there is no way to enforce your rights. Government won't be allowed to enforce your rights. You will have to save up for a few hundred years and take the bastards to court.

How about education? Ron Paul, the man of the people, wants to help American parents:

I support giving educational control back to parents, who know their children better than any politician in D.C. ever will.

... I want to abolish the unconstitutional, wasteful Department of Education and return its functions to the states. By removing the federal subsidies that inflate costs, schools can be funded by local taxes, and parents and teachers can directly decide how best to allocate the resources.

from ronpaul2008.com/issues/education/.

But what does it really say? it says pretty clearly "By removing the federal subsidies that inflate costs, schools can be funded by local taxes", meaning that wealthy communities, probably like the one in which Mr. Paul lives, get better schools because they can afford to fund them. Communities that are impoverished or already underserved will lose what little funds they have. In Mr. Paul's world, only the wealthy will get a good, or even basic, education. In Mr. Paul's world, minority communities, already struggling with historical prejudice and reduced opportunity, will sink further into the abyss. But hey, parents will have a choice, that is if they can afford it.

What about fiscal policy? Ron Paul is a maverick, anti-establishment Republican, old-school, libertarian, right? Read:

Whether a tax cut reduces a single mother’s payroll taxes by $40 a month or allows a business owner to save thousands in capital gains taxes and hire more employees, that tax cut is a good thing. Lower taxes allow more spending, saving, and investing which helps the economy — that means all of us.

Notice who gets the big bucks? Not mom, struggling to raise her children in a Ron Paul world in which she will now have to foot the bill for their education. Nope, the poor suffering small business owner who needs that capital gains cut, a rate already lower than what most American pay.

Most small business owners are not paying capital gains. They are paying dividend, income taxes and self-employment taxes. Capital gains are paid by investors, not the people on the ground running small business. Mr. Paul could not care less about small business. Its big business, no I mean BIG business, that he wants to help.

As for the destruction of the Fed, I am sure a lot of corporations would be happy. We could go back to the glory days of a Dollar bound to the gold standard, the days of 1929, say. In a Fed-less world run by Mr. Paul, we would all be on equal footing. Everyone has equal access to gold, after all.

Mr. Paul's new American economy could see twenty or thirty currencies floating around, free of regulation (or monitoring) by pesky Federal Reserve Bankers. Imagine all the paperwork it would save! Imagine how easily a major bank could issue currency; hey, they already do so in the form of credit cards. Why not make it official? Who could be more impartial in setting money policy than a bank? After all, they are willing to pay 1.5% interest on your savings account. They only ask 27% when you use the card.

And if you are concerned about Privacy, like Ron Paul, you don't want the government knowing how much money you make or spend. They might tax you on it. Of course, if you are average Jane or Joe, the government under Mr. Paul will be the least of your worries. Better pay attention to Citibank first. They have all your money and what's more, they will tell you what its worth.

Blech. Ron Paul is a balrog in wolf's clothing. His ideas are essentially anti-democratic, anti-republican and anti-American. His profession of respect for the Constitution is a chimera. His intent is to gut the federal government and shift power to business and moneyed interests. It takes only the merest attention to his own words to realize what a danger he is to America.

Write Ron Paul web site on U.S. funny money

Wouldn't it be great if every Ron Paul supporter wrote Ron Paul's web site (www.ronpaul2008.com), on every Federal Reserve note, as a protest against fed policy? It would also be great advertising for the campaign.

Also, if anyone wants to see a great music video satire on the MSM, the president, and the war on terror, go to YouTube and see the excerpt from the new, international award-winning feature film, "Song of the Dead," a zombie musical that's also an anti-war satire. The filmmaker, Chip Gubera, is giving a share of his profits to the Ron Paul campaign. Go to:
