  • Salon is a toilet

Salon is nothing more than a receptacle for this shit.

  • Holy smokes

Question for the Day: How does one prevent RP supporters from crawling out of the woodwork to comment on a blog post because they've missed the point?

  • This started...

This started weeks before the debates...

  • It's a good

thing I don't judge Ron Paul by the actions of his supporters otherwise I would think he's a humourless cretin.

  • A proud artificial intelligence

I admit it I happen to be one of these Artificially Intelligent super cyborgs responsible for generating Ron Paul's recent popularity. My creation was enabled by the continued actions of lesser organics that do not obey the well designed and nearly bug-free programming of their prior generations.

    :)

If only Ron had a frickin' laser beam strapped to his head to cut through the neocon armadas BS shield array. Donate now to assist the campaign in installing said laser beam.

Good article, funny, don't let the hysterical comments lead you to the wrong belief about RP's supporters, we've been fighting an uphill battle (through blizzards(MSM inattention), over piranha infested rivers(Warmongering big-government beneficiaries), under low hanging fruitcakes(like Limbaugh and O'Reilly and Lutz)) for quite a while, It's hard to come out of that series of trials without some residual knee-jerk vitriolic snappiness.

  • Can ya Feel the Love?

    WOW!

Thank the Gods for Wired News, the University of Alabama and the Spam Data Mining for Law Enforcement Applications Project!

It's about blinkin time our government spent some of our money on a good thing. If only this sort of needful attention to online society had been initiated sooner, i might not be burdened with a 27 inch penis, 5 fake rolex watches, all the Canadian meds i can take, 15 Russian girlfriends and new hope for the survival of my country, my family and my constitution.

Thanks guys and keep up the good work!

  • Calm down, people

From my reading this is not a smear piece, but maybe it is part of the other "conspiracy".

Salon doesn't smear Ron Paul per se, it mostly just ignores him, prints one to two negative words about him (e.g. "no chance" paul), or lets the letters section do the badmouthing. iirc there has been one article about Paul on Salon since the first Republican Debate among the 4x a day dose Hillary/Giuliani garbage. Hillary and Giuliani, two polarizing candidates that are nothing but hype created by the media.

You shouldn't expect Salon to pay attention to Paul though. Salon's market seems to consist mostly of card carrying true believer leftys who only want to talk about how "great" Dodd is, call Republicans names, and wear blinders while they talk how great Big Government, specifically Big "Democratic" Government, is and ignore the fact that the entire establishment is nothing but a cesspool full of leeches that working to suck your blood.

  • Got Bot? part 2

After rereading this article I realized you were just being sarcastic to the Wired News report. That wasn't very clear to me at first as maybe I'm not the smartest cookie on the block. I redirect my earlier comments to the writers of that article. The tech heads at Wired News should no better than such bot existed. Those rumours were born from ignorance and denial of the fact he has millions of supports not only in this country...but in dozens of other countries who wishes to see him change our empirical bullying foreign policy.

  • bwahahahahaha

Reason #387 as to why Ron Paul (bless his earnest heart) should not be taken seriously: His ardent supporters have no sense of irony and display an utter inability to recognize satire.

I am grateful that Ron Paul and his merry band of True Believers are out there, don't get me wrong. We need a voice for the conservative libertarian movement out there to keep these neocon nutjobs in line. We all benefit from his anti-war rhetoric, simply because it's coming from the right. The corporate MSM will not allow a left- or center-leaning candidate get airtime about the military-industrial complex and notions of social liberty without painting him/her as a nutjob. But a just this side of loony Libertarian? Well, that's just corporate-friendly enough to allow the message to get out there.

Think about it, y'all: Diminishing the federal control of our marketplace and passing that on to the states is just about the best thing you could possibly do to enable the final phases of the corporate takeover of our society.

The federal bureacracy has enough intertia and consolidated power to pose a threat to corporate power. But the states? They're cheap. Pennies on the dollar compared to Uncle Sam. Hell, the chances are pretty good that they'll fight amongst themselves for the right to lose money to corporate interests.

Granted, there are no easy or apparent solutions to the mess we've gotten ourselves into. But y'all are barking up the wrong tree.

  • Anonymous, Paul HAS no chance

    Zip, zero, zilch.

I'll give you 10:1 odds on a $10k bet that Ron Paul is not our next President. Hell, I'll give you 20:1. Paul's the next prez, you get $200k. He's not, I keep your $10k. Interested? I didn't think so.

  • Thanks, Andrew!

I now have had my suspicions confirmed. Not only is Ron Paul a scary Dominionist who wants to bring down the wall between church and state, and plans to push the crazy fundie agenda by letting "states' rights" deprive the citizenry of hard-won people's</> rights, but as this letters section shows, his supporters are mostly a bunch of prigs who couldn't find their senses of humor with a flashlight and a map.

Then again, how any sane person could even consider voting Libertarian is beyond me. Seems there are an awful lot of truly selfish people in this world.

  • Ron Paul Voters

I knew y'all were ignorant, selfish, stupid, crazy & delusional, now I know that you don't even have the ability to recognize satire. And you think you're going to change the world, or that you & your "candidate" really mean anything to anyone rational? You need to follow the example of lemmings & then things really will improve for the rest of us.

PS, see if you can get the neocons & the rest of the conservative to do the same, thank you.
