In other Facebook news, a student at Georgetown was attacked and beaten up a month ago by other students who yelled homophobic slurs and put him in the hospital. He discovered one of the attacker's initials and was able to track him down through Facebook. Mostly on the basis of this (and a photo array) the alleged attacker was arrested. I don't know if that is a positive or negative use of the web community, but it does add an interesting twist to the internet stalker.
I can't decide if this is really scary or really touching.
