OK, But...?
Why would the Italians, Canadians, Japanese, Germans, or French care one whit about Wolfowitz?

wolf - O - whiz - OH - wolf - O - whiz
China, Brazil nor India are that much into the new colonialism, errr globalization, I would think. South Amercian countries, in particular, are VERY busy shedding the shackling remnants of the IMF - with great independent futures to look forward to. China and India won't deal with the stench either.
blunderpup - you probably know the answere to your question, but I am gonna make a guess anyway. Though Andrew speaks as if the representatives from our "government" ostensibly of our citizens would be speaking to representatives from those other countriesour as if they are representatives of the citizens of those other countries, the individuals he mentions are not representatives of the citizens but are actually representatives of the Central (private, non-government-regulated) Banks of those countries, who have been using the U.S. as their foil, but who now are ready to shift to France (who's Stock exchange was recently purchased by the NYSE because the French Central Banks regulate even less) and Sarkozy.

Another Example of the Administration's Blinders
I just read all 52 pages of the report of the Ad Hoc Committee of the World Bank's Board of Executive Directors.
http://siteresources.worldbank.org/NEWS/Resources/secondreportoftheadhocgroup.pdf
Anyone who reads the report is left with the clear impression that Wolfowitz essentially had and has no clue what it means to run an international organization. He read a directive that told him that the Ethics Committee had no power to direct his underlings to negotiate a deal with his girlfriend into a directive that he was to run the negotiations personally. And then he ran roughshod over specific policies that limited her compensation and made her future promotions dependent on her performance. In other words, he turned the policy aimed at avoiding conflicts of interest on its head in order to advantage his girlfriend.
But George W. Bush is using up our country's diplomatic resources to keep this embarrassment in office. Probably on the advice of Alberto Gonzales.
