    The american mental health establishment

has done a poor job of explaining this sort of person (the "spree killer") to the public, so we are left with news reports about the race of the killer, what the killer wrote in his letter, what breakfast cereal the killer liked, etc. Maybe the profile they have is too hard for the layman to use. Still, more information would be nice...besides "the killer is usually a quiet male loner." That really narrows it down!
