Ask the pilot

In search of the ever-elusive "truth," the pilot takes on the 9/11 conspiracy theorists.

    Well That's it Then

So The Pilot has spoken, and the official story is True. Well, except for a few little points he would like cleared up.

He did allow that a complete refutation of all the theory's is outside the scope of a brief article and on that point I would agree.

Of course some of those omissions are pretty hard to explain away, and some, as he said, are outside his area of expertise.

I was one of those nuts who has asked him a few questions, like, is it possible to make cell phone calls at altitude? Yes, "we catch them in the toilet all the time". I also asked him about Hanjours magic carpet ride and got the truth that it "might not be as hard as you think". I have to bow to his superiour knowledge there, but Jesus, I would still have to put it in the hmmm, I don't know about that category.

His idea that there are sites out there that are essentially "disinformation" sites, run by god knows who, which seem designed to obfuscate, and discredit by associations hardly his, but hey, he's a Pilot. Lumping in obvious nuts with somewhat less obvious nuts, (like engineers, physicists and the like) is hardly a way to the truth Patrick.

There are many many more good questions Patrick in addition to your very good one about missing video tape. Where were the interceptors? Why did not 1, not 2, but 3 buildings collapse from fire that day, for the first and to date only time in history? Was "Project Northwoods" which would have involved switching planes and terrorist attacks inside the US "sci-fi"?

I don't want to read yet another haughty, if not snotty, Popular Science type debunking Patrick. The question of what happened that day has most assuredly not been answered. The story as told by the 911 commission is highly implausible on more counts than I can go into here. What really happened that day is perhaps the most serious question facing America today, for it laid the groundwork for a PNAC coup, that continues to this day. A conspiracy is just a plan, a secret plan. Does anyone reading this seriously think that governments do not make plans and that some of these plans are secret? With any crime we look for motive an opportunity. Lots of people had motive but few, if any had the opportunity. Bin Laden did not shut down NORAD that day.

    The truth is out there.
