Draft Day
Since the Super Bowl began, only 3 quarterbacks taken with the number one overall pick have won it for the team that picked them:
Terry Bradshaw
Troy Aikman
Peyton Manning
Several other number ones have won a Super Bowl with a different team, however I suspect that is cold comfort to the teams that originally drafted them (Eli Manning being the most recent, I wonder how the Chargers feel about Philip Rivers now?).
Moral of the story? Trade down, or take a kicker and save the money for free agents...
