  • UPDATE brought to you by yours truly!

    Dear King, and readers,

Since there is no hockey coverage to be found on this site anymore, I hereby provide one, free of charge.

Reigning Cup champs Anaheim Ducks are down 2 games to 0, their defense all but on vacation. Make that 11 years and counting for a team to repeat a Cup win. Calgary Flames overcame a 3 goal deficit last night to win 4-3 over the highly touted Sharks; Calgary leads 2-1. The Penguins, led by Sidney Crosby, are now up 3 games to 0 over last years Conference Finalist Ottawa Senators; yea, me too! Can you believe it?! As usual, the Sens fizzle in the playoffs. The first-place finishing Montreal Canadiens are up 2-1 in their series with their arch-rival Bruins; the Habs lost last night to Boston for the first time in 14 games, and they're lucky to be up in the series, as their top scoring lines seem to have disappeared. Sean Avery of the Rangers acted like a retarded monkey yesterday in front of Devils goalie Martin Brodeur, being in his face -- literally -- and acting like a clown (this intrepid reporter had NEVER seen anything like that; the NHL hadn't either it seems, as they made a new addition to their rule book TODAY regarding said buffoonery). The Avs and Wild are in the midst of a very exciting series, as are the Capitals (led by scoring leader Ovechkin) and Flyers. The perennial playoff warriors, the Red Wings, lost tonight to a spirited (though under-manned) Predators team. They now lead 2-1.

I think that's it. That wasn't so hard though.

    More to come!
