  • With the amount of money top programs bring in

Schools should pay their players and forego any illusion that they're students. Of the final four this year only UNC has a graduation rate over 50%. Why do you think 4 out of 5 baseball players are recruited straight out of high school? Because minor league is minor league - it's development for players. The fact that a roomful of boosters in school sweaters with their fat guts are making millions off it doesn't make any less a business. So the NCAA can one of two ways - indentured servitude that EVERYONE agrees doens't lead to a post college career of any kind anyway, or, they can simply admit they're the minor leagues and start paying their players.
