Well, coming from a fat smug well fed first world never gone a day w/o cable tv and a hot meal perspective I guess that's pretty damn easy for you to say. I think though that when you're hungry and half your kids die before age 7 from measles and you sleep in the same room as your animals, that abstractions like Freedom and Dignity take on entirely different meanings. Tibet before China was not the Hollywood Shangri-La you pretend it to be. It was a brutally backwards poor country mired in feudalism dominated by a priestly uber class.
