Easy Pickins?
There's no reason in the world not to go with the favorites this weekend, and only a miracle can save the Chargers; but ... if anyone can beat the Pack, it's the G-Men. They'd have to play like they did against the Pats at the season's end, and add a considerable dash of "I-wanna-win" attitude into the bargain. I can't see them doing that however. I don't think the Giants can muster that attitude in a post-season Championship game when they couldn't muster it against the Pats (or anyone else) in the regular season. Champions require more than luck to survive and thrive; and these G-Men will not be as lucky at Lambeau as they were at Dallas. [I hope! 'Cos (1) I hate the Giants and (2) I think they're the only team remaining with even an outside chance of taking the Patriots.]
With regard to Buster: I realize that PR dictates that he not sound too bitter after his ill-advised holdout, but I find it hard to believe that the statement attributed to him is really his. I mean, how many four-year-olds would pass up the opportunity to send a back-hander in Dad's direction now that the Old Gang's all back together again? Exactly! [I'm assuming you said "None."] My bet is that Buster really said something like: "It's been a long time and I am happy that Dad sees the need to have a proven winner back on the team, especially at this critical juncture in the season. With my return there's every reason to believe our win/record will improve and we'll continue to move in the right direction."
Tellin' it like it is, Buster! Right On, Dude!

Being booed is fun,
especially when you know the reason is jealousy(respect), which the kid obviously did. It could also be you're acting like an ass, which makes it informative. Start booing the kids at an early age and they'll be better able to handle it as adults, at least in my slightly challenged mind.
You repeated cold a few times but only mentioned that Lambeau Field was flat once, why not reiterate that fact as well. The Giants didn't rush for many yards because Dallas put together long, time consuming drives. It seemed like the Giants had the ball for less than 2 minutes in the 2nd quarter, but I'm sure I'll be corrected. Also, I doubt anybody can predict how players will respond to a high of 4 degrees, not counting the wind chill. This game should be entertaining. A hard thrown ball in 15 degree weather hurts like a bitch(poor word choice, but often preceded by "you f'ing" as a teenager)(also advantage Giants I think), as would tackling a B. Jacobs or R. Grant(again advantage Giants). I am slightly biased to one of the teams, by the way.

Buster's holdout
King, could we have the details of the contract agreement reached between labor and mangement ?
Specifically
Were third parties involved (mom) ?
Does that include random off-season testing for performance enhancing substances (if so what substances make you pick better ) ?

The Jints
Are not the only team with an outside chance of beating New England. Please. Eli vs. Brady in the SB would be a massacre. Manning has a 14-year-old's "Did Dad see that I crashed the car?" look at the best of times. He's mediocre at best, a competent Rex Grossman. Give 'em credit, nice run against very undistinguished competition, but they don't have the secondary or QB to beat New England in a game for all the marbles. And Manning is not a better QB than Matt H.
And neither do they have the secondary or QB to beat GB in a money game. They're going to have to score anywhere from 21-28 to have a shot at winning, and that ain't happening without a lotta help from GB.
Remember, the Packers saw the Dallas game. They won't be surprised b the Giants, or tank it like Dallas. GB went down 14 and, unlike Dallas, rose up and kicked ass. The Giants' banged-up secondary is going to be mighty stiff, sore, and abused by Favre and 4 degrees. Favre, unlike Romo, has actually been there, done that, and won. He's seen pressure his entire career. Grant will be running with attitude.
Sure, anything can happen. But it won't this week. The Giants' overachieving ride ends, and the Packers and Patriots play for it all.

Start Spreading the News
I've been hearing some stupid story about how the New York QB, Eli Manning won't be able to see his "Friends" on "Seinfeld". Green Bay TV should play the Liza Minelli movie: "New York, New York" to greet the visiting team.

Not just a cartoon head!
You're more than a cartoon head, you're a cartoon bust!
And there are some people talking about a Chargers win who aren't Chargers fans.

Of course, he's going on about historical trends and as we all know: past performance is no indication of future performance. Or at least that's what all those financial commercials tell us.
Go Packers!

R U Kidding???
I remember watching that PPK thing and hearing the boos and her reaction and thinking, good for the fans, good for her.
This reaction is why the rest of the country hates Pats/SoxNation. They can't be happy with being the best. They have to be all holy about as well. I've said it before and I'll say it again.
Y'all are just Yankee fans in a red dress.

Memories
Nobody gave the Giants a chance against Minnesota and Randy Moss in the 2001 Championship game and they beat'em 41-0.
I can see a few scenarios with the Giants winning. Eli has a strange snake charmer way of winning games. He's beaten the Packers at least once? already. And if anyone knows how to stop the Green Bay running back, it'll be the Giants. Teams that have done well running against the Giants have traditionally lost - Remember the Super Bowl with Buffalo.
MY PREDICTION
If the Giants can get a pass rush on Favre, they'll WIN.

Anna Grant
I'm a Pats fan, and from NH, and I thought it was cool that Anna got booed - I bet she did too. Just more evidence that the Patriots are on top of the football world. Any fan who is sincerely upset at the Colts fans for booing is probably a little too sensitive to be watching football games in the first place. And, for the record, I don't think Kraft was sincerely upset by Grant getting booed at all, this is just an excuse to posture and take another dig at the Colts - which in my book is just fine.
