Well King,
I don’t think that's going to work out
You see, given that the curriculum at Berkley evidently does not include telling time, simple arithmetic or logic, it looks like the Golden Bears won’t be playing for the championship of anything this year.

Curriculum?
You see, given that the curriculum at Berkley evidently does not include telling time, simple arithmetic or logic, it looks like the Golden Bears won’t be playing for the championship of anything this year.
You seem to be suggesting -- I'm just sure I'm reading you wrong here and we're all going to have a good laugh about it once we clear up the confusion -- but you seem to be suggesting that the quarterback actually ... I'm almost embarrassed to say it because you're going to think I'm such an idiot.
OK here goes: You seem to be suggesting the football players go to class!

PS
It's Berkeley. Three e's in all.

Off-topic
But I can't help it. Tony Romo says: "I’d like to see what the outcome would’ve been if that fourth-and-1 holding hadn’t happened." Hey, Tony, you don't lose by 3 touchdowns at home because of a holding call. I think other forces might have been at work there . . .

Whaddya mean baseball isn't as competitive?
While I will agree that the playoffs this year have been remarkably decisive, have you already forgotten about September? Right up until the end of the month it seemed like half the teams out there were contenders. And at the end of the season, not a single team finished above .600 - and the National League was even more competitive than that, with the top teams finishing around .550. Looks pretty competitive to me.
I think the real interesting question is; why was the end of the regular season one of the most competitive ever (certainly the most competitive in my memory), while the playoffs are, as you observed, a series of sweeps that will go down in history?

To the Notorious W.E.S....
Yes. It does.

The bright side
The way I see it, Cal was #1 for about two hours. That may be as good as it gets in my lifetime.
What is this baseball you talk about? I don't know the game. I'm a San Francisco Giants fan.
