Letters to the Editor

@ Bob in Pacifica
I was kidding about Vick's punishment. I am against the death penalty, and certainly don't think it should be applied to low level federal felonies. I am already getting bored with explaining things to you, and you are either stupid or being intentionally obtuse, but I will try to continue.
I don't care if you stick a firecracker in W's butt if that is what you are into. I'm not sure that would be a sufficient or effective punishment for his crimes in Texas or anywhere else.
I have been involved with the prosecution (State) of pit bull owning dog fighters. I just saw a story on Real Sports last week where some guys got prosecuted for crimes similar to Vick's. Look up Floyd Boudreaux and his son Guy. Louisiana dog fight operators, prosecuted. In fact, do a simple internet search and you'll find many. You see, you don't know everything. You don't know if laws are enforced or not, but you like to make broad, unsupported claims and expect people to agree with you and follow your thought pattern to other discussions.
If you read other letters on here, you will find that you weren't the only fool to compare Vick's case to Thailand dog eating, so don't be so grandiose to think everyone has to fully address all of your off-topic, philosophical questions. Whatever your definition of "morality", breeding, torturing and training an animal to kill its own kind so that humans can gamble and cheer on the outcome cannot be "moral." No one is limited to such an activity for their livelihood, it conditions the animal to perform unnatural acts, and only benefits the fleeting entertainment desires of the human viewers. Nothing moral in that. There is morality in natural order, but not in dog fighting. You are embarrassing yourself.
