Throw away games and the Warriors
Once you all have figured out how to incentivize, no incent, er motivate teams to play through the end of the season, maybe you can work on motivating them to win at beginning of the season. Seriously, all leagues produce meaningless games. Too bad.
Regarding the Warriors, I'll go ahead and say it here, they'll play Dallas tough if they get through. While it maybe be hip to beat up on the 6-8 seeds (when one is really commenting on the dubious playoff format), the Warriors are not your average 7/8 seed:
- winners of 15 of the last 20, i.e., since full post-trade roster has been on the floor
- 30 home wins matches that of Utah, Chicago, Toronto, is 1 shy of San Antonio, and better than Denver, Houston, Miami and Detroit
- 3-0 against Dallas this year, 5 straight wins
No the Warriors won't win the series, but to casually throw them in with the other do-nothing teams is specious.
