The rain says no to Game 4, but what are we doing playing baseball Halloween week anyway? Plus: Fox's rainy-night gift.

    Bring new meaning to freezeout.

Long time reader, first time caller.

I enjoy reading your daily, but I despise baseball. Thoughts from childhood rush back to my mind of mid-October World Series earthquakes signaling the end of the season.

It is absolutley silly to play baseball anywhere in 80% of the continental US past the second week of October, until global warming sets in a little bit more. How many baseball players are we willing to sacrifice to frostbite, and how many baseball fans are we willing to tease with bad programming and rain (or snow) delays?

And while we're at it, move the Super Bowl back to the end of January, and end the NBA playoffs to the first week of May.
