btdenver missed the point...
I think Kaufman's points about Javier--both of which are indisputable--were that: 1) he has NO perspective, acting as if three years is a long time to be away from the playoffs when many superior players have almost never been there at all; and 2) HE chose to sign with a loser, going for the bucks rather than the playoff opportunity, so he has no one to blame but himself that he's had to watch the post-season on television for lo, these three years. Kaufman never said he was a bad player or that he contributed nothing to his teams in the playoffs.
I have a different bone to pick with King: I agree with Brennan's "The Dog Ate My Homework" comments, but man, what a humongous cliche to use!! All to reach the earth-shattering conclusion that guys who are obviously guilty are... drumrolls, please... GUILTY!! No sh#t, Christine! Why does King act like she's saying anything profound here?
And hey, Floyd, what would those "hundreds of reasons" for failing the drug test be, exactly? Did any journalist think to ask him that? I'm guessing he'd be a mite stumped...
(Absolutely a side note on Floyd, but why are all athlete's wives named "Amber"?)
