600 points...
but at least I woulda finished ahead of Seth Davis. And I did have Florida in my final four (the only final four team I had right).

UF!!!!!
Just like i posted here when King had the Gators going out to Milwaukee, I knew the Gators had it in them. To those of us who watched this team all season, we knew they could go all the way. I am so happy and proud of these guys!

Best. Game. Ever.
Ok, ok -- probably not so much for those who didn't grow up in Gainesville like I did. But still, a basketball clinic. And I take some pleasure too in that the only team to play them close was Georgetown. If only the sophomores would stay together for one more season. A girl can dream...

Billy Packer
I wanted to throw my television out the window after Billy Packer bitched about "trading baskets" for the seventh time. We know they're losing, idiot!

Six blocks
That does seem a little low, doesn't it? In '86 David Robinson swatted 14(!), but not in a tournament game. Maybe winning the championship really is all about guard play. Or something.

Noah's professional career: TBA
He elevates himself by motioning a kiss towards the cheerleader section, but ruins it all by doing that horrible Gator chomp bit. I'm still torn on him.

Well done, UF. But...
I'm not going to deny Florida's well-deserved victory. There was never much doubt that they out-played the Bruins at almost every turn. I do, however, want to comment on some incidents that KK didn't mention that could have been just as likely to turn the game as the ones he did mention. On at least three occasions, a Gator was guilty of traveling and wasn't called. On all three occasions, Florida scored, and one of those baskets was a trey. Also, Noah (who was terrific, no argument) was twice allowed a double-dribble, making him eligible for the Michael Jordan "Who me? Carrying the ball?" Award. Minor quibbles, I admit, in a game that wasn't as close as the score, but that was a total of five potential turnovers and a loss of eight points. If you're going to pick out instances that "won" the game for UF, you could also pick out ones that "lost" the game for UCLA.

I Knew My Bruins Were Done For...
When King Kaufman picked them to beat UF the day before :-)
