ESPN becoming like MTV
ESPN is to sports now what MTV is to music: shows that has little to do with their primary focus. And in ESPN's case, actual live sports or sports news.
The whole "50 States in 50 Day" crapola last year was the pinnacle of "We don't have enough sport material to keep you interested so we're going on a road trip!"
Road trip!!???
And "news" like "Sharapova seen with Roddick" is pure fodder. If this is where ESPN is headed, don't be surprised to see Mary Hart host a show named "Entertainment Tonight: Sports Edition".
