I'm not sure how the Pats-Broncos game will go, but if it comes down to the coaches, then I like Belichick's odds.
Mike Shanahan has a boulder-sixed chip on his shoulder. You know he's sick of hearing about how he can't win without John Elway. It's just killing him. Tomorrow, he's going to look across the field and see the guy universally considered the smartest coach in the NFL. Remember when Shanahan held that title?
At some point in the game Shanahan is going to screw his team by getting to cut in an attempt to outsmart Belichik. Something along the lines of, "let's abandon the running game and let Jake the Snake run a no-huddle all-audible offense. They'll never see it coming." Maybe it won't be that big, but at some point it's going to happen. If the Broncos are really lucky, it won't cost them the game.
