Just as she makes one step towards a 2012 run, a new poll has some bad news for the former governor

The Three

Can we track the other three to make sure they are not allowed to teach, operate heavy machinery, or vote?

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 09:43 AM

that number never changes

it's the thirty something percent that backed georgie on everything he did.

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 09:46 AM

Anyone...

...who believes Sarah Palin is worth anything more than a quick one in the restroom of some Wasilla laundrymat needs to have their head examined.

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 09:50 AM

This just in...

3 in 10 Americans are complete morons.

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 09:52 AM

Sad commentary

Three out of ten think she's qualified.

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 09:53 AM

Unfortunately, may not matter that much

Just like you don't have to be faster than the bear to get away, Palin just needs to make her opponents look even more unqualified than she is.

The GOP schtick of "however much we've faltered, we're still better than those Democrats" is tiresome, but has been effective.

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 10:02 AM

Now You've Done It

Moronmoron will be here comparing to Palin to crusty-dusty European royalty, fictional characters, and turn of (last) century politicians. Did you have to?

Translation: 7 in 10 think she's a LOSER

and doesn't shave her legs....but she can man the tailgun on them wolf hunts.....

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 10:03 AM

Dogvane writes: "Sad commentary...Three out of ten think (Palin's) qualified."

And every single one of them gets on comments boards and accuses the other 7 of being terrified of her power and brilliance.

Little Billy Kristol

Billy Kristol has endorsed the likes of Palin and and Qualye because when he's with them, he can can FINALLY be the smart one in the room. Billy Kristol is an intellectual lightweight, just like his dead dad Irving. Don't worry Billy; you and Irving will eventually be reunited in Hell.

Fortunately...

"Just like you don't have to be faster than the bear to get away, Palin just needs to make her opponents look even more unqualified than she is."

She would be running against an incumbent though, it's hard to argue Obama isn't experienced enough to be President when he's already President.

Somehow I doubt a run by Palin unless the Democrats implode and don't run Obama in the next election. Otherwise a trip to Iowa is just that, a trip. It's a good place to try sell her book, a way to keep up appearances

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 10:08 AM

Now I know...

...where to go to keep up with every little thing Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck do. Man, I couldn't give two shits about either of those people, and no serious person does. Why do they get sooo much time on Salon? It's like Newt Gangreen and the MSM. Who gives a rat's ass what Newt thinks?

Readers: did any of you wake up today and think "I wonder what people think about Sarah Palin." I sure didn't.

But if someone had asked I would have said "I figure everyone think she's a moron, except that hardcore 30% that supported Bush 'till the end."

This is not news, it is, to paraphrase Thoreau, "gossip."

Survey

3 in 10 U.S. citizens are fucking morons who support the likes of Bush and Palin!

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 10:10 AM

Based on what, exactly?

Just out of morbid curiosity, I'd really like to know what about Palin the 30% considers POTUS-worthy. My guess is that they relate to her because she's dumb, too. But unlike Palin and the 30%, I allow for the possibility I'm wrong.

When I read this artiicle

The first thing I thought was "No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people." They voted for Nixon twice, they voted for Regan twice and they voted for a Bush 3 times. I wonder if it is too late to emigrate to another country.....

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 10:14 AM

Palin 10x more qualified that both Obama/Biden

Both O'Bummer and Biden were put in power by international Marxists precisely because each lacks intellect and judgement and because both of them have major, innate sociopathic tendencies. Compared to these functional morons, Palin is a super genius (and the article shows that Koppelman's just another Obama cult member whose low IQ qualifies him to be a salon.com contributor).

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 10:20 AM

About time these questions got asked

Western Democracies are struggling under the weight of a class of political pygmies. For a generation candidates have been elected despite having no life or executive experience. And it shows. Well Done on finally asking candidates to prove their abilities.

Example? Gov Palin was the only candidate with executive experience. Comrade Obama got elected and look at the mess.

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 10:21 AM

It doesn't matter..

...how many Americans think she's qualified. What matters is that 52% of Republicans think she's qualified to be POTUS. They are the ones that will be nominating her in another 2 1/2 years to run against Obama. And if Obama keeps on the way he's going she may be the only Republican he's sure to beat.

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 10:22 AM

Not surprised

A great number than 3 in 10 members of my husband's blue collar, fundie-Christian family love her just a little less than Jesus, George Bush and anybody on Fox (which is never, ever turned off in any of their homes). Does it need to be said that they also breed like rabbits? Idiocracy is getting closer by the day.

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 10:27 AM

SO WHAT?

How many think OBAMA is qualified to be President?

The number grows less every day.

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 10:27 AM

@ A21A24

International Marxists! No, wait, it was interstellar African New Age Pagans! No wait, it was intergalactic abortionist Nazi doctors!! No, wait...

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 10:28 AM

That's all?

Where I live, the Palin believers are at least eight out of ten. They believe Palin is qualified; she is chosen by God or something. They believe she really can see Russia from her house.

Glad there are some places left in this country where sanity does exist.

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 10:28 AM

Wow, who knew, A21A24?

So, a great majority of the electorate of the United States consists of international Marxists? Did you mean Karl Marxists or Harpo Marxists?

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 10:28 AM

I'm no Palin fan...

In fact, I think the criticisms of her don't go far enough. Calling her a moron is an insult to morons.

But, that said, when Alex Koppelman and others write about her practically every other day, I can only conclude that such writers are either in love with her or, as the Right claims, afraid of her.

What is the point of this article? We already know that 2/3rds of the country think she's a moron and the other third are beyond hope. Why bring it up? Why give her publicity? You're only feeding her narcissism. Internet advice that applies to real life: Don't Feed The Trolls.

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 10:32 AM

My dear wiatrol,

"3 in 10 U.S. citizens are fucking morons who support the likes of Bush and Palin!"

Actually about 7 in 10 supported Bush. Probably the same 7.

8 out of 10 Americans are morons, but since one of them agrees with you, you can only see 7 out of 10 of them.

I bet they voted for Obama this time.
