Sesame Street

She's prepped for an appearance on FOX now.

Truth is stranger than fiction ...

... because fiction has to sound plausible.

"if you enjoy the kind of humor that makes your last bit of faith in humanity"

...do what? Asplode?

But It's The Other End Of The Spectrum

I spoke to my brother and his wife's mother is starting to slip mentally. In some regards it's getting pretty serious. They had to stop her from driving among other things. He said she watches FOX almost non-stop. Thinks all the hosts are Gods.

Question

Also funny -- if you enjoy the kind of humor that makes your last bit of faith in humanity -- was an e-mail link...

That makes your last bit of faith in humanity...what? There's something missing there. What is that clause supposed to be saying?

When You're 4

It's Big Bird and Cookie Monster.

At 90 it's O'Reilly and Beck

FUN OF?

Is it "makes FUN OF your last bit of faith in humanity?"

There must be an Irony deficiency in that guy's diet.

I Think It Was The Day Before Christmas

FOX AND FRIENDS had this satellite technician in some souped up scientific looking studio and Doocy and one of those stupid bitches were interveiwing him live as he supposedly tracked Santa and his sleigh. It went on and on. And they kept going back to him at intervals for updates. There were some kids watching no doubt, but that crap was directed at the adults watching just as much or more.

Also funny -- if you enjoy the kind of humor that makes your last bit of faith in humanity -- was an e-mail link to the video

Then:

I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried.

Oh but you did, and its meaningless crap isn't it?
Now rather you constantly sitting around sneering at things your readers want and need to know why don't you get of your arse and do a proper job like a proper journalist?

No matter how much sniggering you do the questions remain.
Which damned place in Honolulu was he born? Only official documents will be accepted as proof.
Was he adopted? Only copies of official documents will do.
When he came back to using the name Obama did he change his name from Soetoro to Obama by deed poll and when? Only copies of official documents will do.
How come these common place facts are not only not known to the American public about the man who is their President but these common place facts are being hidden from the public. Why?

Well, get on with it Koppelman you've now got some proper work and a real story to cover.

Friday, October 2, 2009 11:46 AM

Which Begs The Question

How can you tell the difference between Doocy and the stupid bitches? You have to look damn close for sure.

Friday, October 2, 2009 11:47 AM

Ok, that was funny

Both the video segment was laugh out loud funny, and that anyone would actually take this as an indicator of Conan's personal belief is as well.

It's like when you catch someone linking to the Onion as a serious news organization.

Friday, October 2, 2009 11:49 AM

Don't give them anything to run with!

As silly as this stuff is, there are going to be a bunch of right-wing loonies who will think these satirical re-dos are the real thing and only enforce them.

These people already believe anything negative about President Obama, so don't give them anything else they can misconstrue.

This is getting way out of hand and only harming the nation when all is said and done.

@Serai1

What I meant to say was, "Also funny -- if you enjoy the kind of humor that makes you lose your last bit of faith in humanity." Thanks for pointing out the missing words.

That makes even less sense. There is no kind of humour that makes you lose your last bit of faith in humanity. You just made that crap up which you don't even understand yourself in order to try and make yourself seem interesting and snarky.

Well you are not interesting and you can't even do snark properly.

Unless I'm missing some super~flying wit of sarcasm you're dealing, which is flyin' right over my tiny little head, I fail to grasp the type of mentality you seem to be embracing.

Don't you think this alleged lack of citizenship thread witless people are hanging on to would have been discovered and used in, oh...say...the primaries?

And, you know, Shrub got selected while Cheney had real issues regarding his primary residence, hence, eligiblity for...VP. All those wasted, destructive years. It's pretty much like beating a dead horse at this point. Because I'm damned sure how we went from where we were 9 years ago to where we find ourselves today.

So, why don't you drop it. Or not. That's up to you, I suppose.

Either way, what your post said and acting like you really care now, makes me lol. Along with the Conan excerpt.

Not interested. Just stick to the facts. And the fact is you have no proff where he was born in Honolulu and different hospitals are mentioned even by his supporters. Its also a fact that you don't know whether he was adopted or not and that fact is being kept from you. What's the matter with you, can't you see that's odd? Can't you see that you should easily know stuff like this about a man you made your President? And by what legal means did he come to be using the name Obama again?
Now the fact is you Americans don't know these facts. Another fact is too damned many of you have become willing conditioned not only to not ask for these facts but to sneer at those that do!

What if I told you that I wasn't a Birther but I was a biographer? Make you change your attitude would it? Make you finally see how odd it is not to know what should be widely known by those who wish to know it?

Friday, October 2, 2009 01:15 PM

LondonLad, you ARE a Birther

in addition to whatever else you want to call yourself.

The thing is, Barack Obama was on my ballot, and I voted for him. That's good enough for me. If I had to do every job of everyone that's supposed to be doing their jobs, I wouldn't be able to do my own job. Do you check the driver's license of every cab driver whose cab you get into? Or the qualifications of the cabin crew of every plane you board?

I sure get tired of reading this crap...
