Well, I see no one has answered any of my questions

Gee, I wonder why......

I just watched the movie "Tae Guk Gi." I highly reccommend it. Especially for you Salonistas - you would appreciate the anti-Communist firing squads. That seems to be your future: pulling the trigger against your fellow Americans who you deem anti-Obama, anti-Global Warming, anti-whatever-fucking-Liberal-agenda has crawled up your reactionary ass.

In honor of the Koreans out there who may have read and believed other's smears against me, instead of my own words, I highly respect and admire the Korean people. I have worked with them, and for them, (I made the kim-chee and marinated the spinach for the be-bim-bop, among other things), and I even attended a U.S. Naval School as a U.S. Marine with an ROK Officer in my class. He taught me how to prevent a hangover (hint: lots of ginseng!)

The Koreans I have met are tough as nails, and are very kind and generous people. I am saying this not for your benefit, Salonistas, but for theirs. Your smears seem to stick. Your ignorance is contagious. So people like me have to spell things out once in a while.

I used to dismiss people who said "But I have plenty of freinds who are (fill-in-the-blank-race) as using a lame excuse. But then I thought about it. Why is that a lame excuse? I think it is perfectly reasonable to defend oneself against racism or bigotry by claiming (honestly) that one has friends who are the racial-category in question. I would like to see a verbal defense of why this is a legitamite attack argument.

Now I know how Pat Buchanan feels when he "debates" Rachel Maddow

What words of mine told you that I am eager to go to war with Korea?

What words of mine told you that I have no faith or respect for diplomacy?

What words of mine told you that I don't recognize the contributions of Asian-Americans to America?

What words of mine told you that diplomacy implies weakness?

Well those two 'journalists' are now set for life?

BTW have you ever seen Current TV? If you didn't know better you'd think it was The Onion, or MTV pretending to be a legit news channel.

In any case, you can expect that these two journalists (who by the way were never sent to a labor camp, it was only a threat) will have multimillion dollar book and media deals by the end of the week.

You can also expect to hear Obama jettison the 6 party talks and agree to negotiate directly with the DPRK over the objections of China, Japan and the RoK. You can also expect to hear of a new food aid program in the 1 billion dollar range for the DPRK.

Who cares what John Bolton thinks?

And why do we need him to change his mind?

When Bill wants to take 2 women home, even N Korea cannot stop him!

@ steele

As my Korean friends would say, you are nothing but a "ship pal keh sekki" (wish I could find the hangul keys on this keyboard).

Wednesday, August 5, 2009 03:38 AM

@Svutlov - you're a better man than I

Maybe Steele will one day understand that diplomacy does not imply weakness. Ah but I suspect he's one of those who'd rather shoot is limited wad first, then have nothing to fall back on.

You call that an apology?

"Gomen-nasai; Dui bu qi; Jwesongheyo

Okay, replace "slanty eyes" with "make-up."

The "take-ah picture?" speech is pigeon-English as most East-Asians speak it. If you want me to apologize for that, fine, sorry."

As condescending as that was, I guess that it is a step in the right direction coming from you.

So since you do recognize the contributions of Asian Americans, does that mean you are less eager to go to war with North Korea, and more eager to find a diplomatic solution to our differences?

Like pretty much all of your letters, you have never made that clear.

Peace be with you, and let's hope you will let a little peace into your heart.

@Svutlov

Click on my sig for the apology.

I don't know why you persist in this attack on me. Of course I acknowledge that Asian Americans contribute to this country, and that Korean speakers help our nation. Why wouldn't I acknowledge that?

Tuesday, August 4, 2009 09:21 PM

"I did apologize already."

Oh really?

Please re-post, because I don't see it.

Go through your own letters and see if you acknowledge the contributions Asian Americans make, and then see if you can figure out how much money Korean speakers can save America in defense.

Think about what it takes to defeat a stand off, and what it takes to bring peace to a divided region.

I can't change who you are, you have to change yourself.

Tuesday, August 4, 2009 09:10 PM

@Svutlov

I did apologize already.

Okay, let me hazard a guess as to what you meant earlier. You meant to say that I do not feel Asian-Americans are patriotic, or that they can be "real" Americans. I have no idea where you got this from, or how you could think I implied such a thing. Nothing I have ever written suggests I believe such a thing.

Fortunately you are not in the state department, and Hillary Clinton has done a good job of getting people who are like you out of the state department, which is why the Obama administration already has an impressive record on foreign policy.

Yeah, you are right, I could never be in Hillary's State Department - because I don't put Israel first. You nailed me on that one.

Tuesday, August 4, 2009 08:52 PM

To Steele The First

My wife and I are still waiting for your apology, which I guess is something we are not going to get, which says a lot about you.

Sorry, I meant to write meeting, not meting, but even with that typo you still should have gotten it, and the fact that you didn't says even more about you.

But people realized just how much "you don't get it" by reading your arm chair analysis of foreign policy.

Fortunately you are not in the state department, and Hillary Clinton has done a good job of getting people who are like you out of the state department, which is why the Obama administration already has an impressive record on foreign policy.

Eventually you will see the picture, though I bet you will still deny it when it is right in front of your face.
