my question

Is that frizz natural or has the hair been run through a curling iron?

Thursday, July 9, 2009 05:49 PM

She is fucking hot!!!

That is my man right there. I spent considerably longer staring at that perfect formed creature of God's creation.

Thank you God for such beauty in nature.

Thursday, July 9, 2009 05:57 PM

This one's going out to my one true love:

... The Ladies.

Could a brother please get a little empathy?

Thursday, July 9, 2009 05:59 PM

@Buckshot Rogers

I was reminded of the Mel Brooks' film (History of the World?)

"That man is a eunuch."

"That man is dead."

a few anwers

@highlyunlikely ... I'm not a hair care expert, but I believe that's what's called a "spiral perm"

@etaoin_shrdlu... I hate to put a damper on everyone's good time, but I think the reason Obama's left foot is raised is that he's in the process of stepping down from the step behind him (look at the way his body is bent and angled). I suspect that's why he's looking down, and his head is naturally turned toward someone who is moving close to him in the opposite direction.

@ ralafler

You're not raining on anyone's parade friend because you're wrong. Look at Sarkozy's expression - he know's BO is toast with the media because he's always on camera.

Thursday, July 9, 2009 06:16 PM

Missing Tim Grive

enjoy your cesspool letter writers, Alex.

Thursday, July 9, 2009 06:21 PM

"Mr. sarkozy...

I am deeply concerned that this woman is not using proper bending and lifting techniques."

Thursday, July 9, 2009 06:23 PM

@ FinFangFoom

Hey Triple F,

Lighten up buddy, its just a little fun at POTUS' expense.

If you want to access the cesspool we can turn the conversation toward Congress.

good families

I have a couple of friends who are the most in-love couple I know. He wouldn't make any attempt to hide what Barry's doing here, and if she "caught" him they'd go on to have a discussion about precisely how hot an ass that is.

How could a woman act like that? Because she knows he loves her and is completely devoted to her. She also knows he's a vital, living being who has all the desires and frailties of the human male. (She'd also know that's a pretty fine ass.)

Anyway, $5 says that's how Michelle responds. The Obamas are in loooooooooove. And good for them!

Friday, July 10, 2009 05:52 AM

I wasn't

expecting that--so funny !

Friday, July 10, 2009 07:42 AM

I'm pretty sure...

I'm pretty sure he was making sure she wasn't going to trip. That's an awfully big step for a little girl.

Yeah, that's the ticket. :>

(And that would be my story and I'd stick too it if I were in his place.)

the truth comes out

and all the deranged right-wing Obama haters look stupid once again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUFkpv6SlvI

Alex, however, has no such excuse for bending over faithfully to the right-wing noise machine.

Friday, July 10, 2009 08:07 AM

Well, as some many of our Muslim brethern in the ME would insist . . .

. . . it all the woman's fault. If she'd been in a burqa . . .

Friday, July 10, 2009 08:11 AM

Are you sure?

A thoughtful man like President Obama is likely just checking out those stylish sandals to see if he should buy a pair for Michelle. -- J T

Mrs. Obama is sartorially very much her own woman. But sandals at a state function of any kind? Tsk, tsk.

Friday, July 10, 2009 08:13 AM

@FinFangFoom Thanks!

Thanks for posting the video. It is very clear that this is much ado about nothing. I would not have faulted the President though. It is ok to have a healthy appetite as long as you eat at home. :-)

Friday, July 10, 2009 08:27 AM

Just because....

you're on a diet, doesn't mean you can't look at the menu.

Friday, July 10, 2009 08:34 AM

The echo chamber is bi-partisan

Alex Koppelman is just as guilty of bad journalism, as some on the right.

I believe Alex should correct his entry, and admit his mistake.

Friday, July 10, 2009 08:42 AM

Obama and Sarkozy are SO busted.

Wonder if Michell's buying the lame excuses . . .

Friday, July 10, 2009 08:42 AM

The video tells another tail...er...tale

The video of this moment shows Obama to be far less lascivious that the picture might suggest. Sarkozy? Not so much. He was taking a long look.

Video here

Friday, July 10, 2009 09:00 AM

the woman in question is a 17 year old Brazillian 'delegate' to the G8

Which is either more or less awesome depending on your point of view.

Friday, July 10, 2009 09:11 AM

@FinFangFoom

Thanks for posting the video. Alex should definitely update this post -- and apologize.

Friday, July 10, 2009 10:04 AM

She has a better ass than Miley Cyrus

Chicka Bow Wow.

Friday, July 10, 2009 10:51 AM

That picture rules!

I don't care what the video shows, that photo is hilarious. I'm glad to see some Salon readers getting a good laugh at something. On occasion there seem to be a few more po faced types. But Mr. Sarkozy-have you no sense of decency, sir?

Friday, July 10, 2009 10:56 AM

Message to Obama

You had better bring all that back, back for America.

Women that good looking should be granted automatic US citizenship.

Friday, July 10, 2009 11:31 AM

@FingFangFoom

It's interesting that you accuse Alex of being a right wing shill given that your stated hero, Tim Grieve, left Salon to write for Politico.

Friday, July 10, 2009 11:33 AM

@ Uncle G

Actually, Uncle G, looking at the video it turns out I was right about the fact that he was stepping down, and wrong only in the reason that he was turned that direction. So there.

Friday, July 10, 2009 02:15 PM

Alex cannot admit a mistake?

The video clearly indicates the picture and this story were incorrect, in the assumptions of many, but Alex cannot seem to admit that perhaps he should not have simply reposted a story from Drudge.

Alex still manages to be too cute by half in his clarification, "..but it could go either way."

Actually, no, it doesn't show what you purpoted at all.

Please make your correction clear.

Friday, July 10, 2009 02:43 PM

(R) must stand for retard

Don't tell the douchebag conservatives that he was looking for that damn birth certificate that they're all so freakin' distraught over. Let them think he's looking at that girl's ass. A few of them will understand. The rest would understand if it was a young boy.

Jesus, that girl could keep a BUNCH of records in that trunk. Who knows, you might even find W's honorable discharge from the Air National Guard.

Saturday, July 11, 2009 07:32 AM

Funny and Summer

and of course Alex posts without

an ounce of skepticism.
