it's worse when you watch it

Wow. Just... wow.

Re: TreeRol

You took the words right out of my mouth. I think someone has officially one upped Anne Coulter. It's bad enough when people think whites marrying black is a perversion...but when Fins and Swedes are suddenly different SPECIES?!

The look on the woman's face is hilarious though. She managed to sum it up sooooo well.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 12:47 PM

Oh my....

Yeah, so this is soo much worse than anything Jimmy the Greek ever said.

You kind of feel sorry for the guy, I mean, yeah he's an idiot, but now he's out of a job in a down economy.

I hope he and his family does o.k., Thank goodness he'll get that COBRA reimbursement from the stimulus package, so he and his family should be o.k. as far as that goes.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 12:49 PM

OMG

I am soooo grateful I do not have cable so I CANNOT watch these idiots. Obviously, this guy didn't get the memo that racism must now be subtle.

I wonder if all the right wing talking heads who have been attacking Obama's alleged eugenics will now attack this meathead for his grotesquely racist remarks.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 12:50 PM

Of Course Fox Isn't Racist

They just hire deeply racist hosts.

Other species? So now African-Americans (and even Irish and Italian--listen to the guy!) aren't human, they're other species!

Holy Cow. Now that's another species....

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 12:51 PM

Perfect Spot for Palin

I betcha she ends up here, or in a show with similar dimbulbs. It must be so easy to be a comedy writer now days when these people continuously provide you with material, daily.

Ya Betcha!

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 12:52 PM

He could have worded it better.

I hate to say this, but Kilmeade does have a point, albeit he could have used better rhetoric (different species, that sounds reminiscent of the Eugenics and social darwinism era). This is analogous to saying people marrying in sub-Saharan Africa having a greater immunity to malaria. This is because being heterozygous for sickle cell anemia (having the genotype, but not the phenotype for the disease) has an advantage in combating malaria.

Did Kilmeade sound social darwinist? Yes. Was that his intention? I highly doubt it? Is Kilmeade an opinionated blowhard schmuck? Yes.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 12:52 PM

Well, if he wants to talk breeding....

Then he should realize that if eugenics would have taken off, he wouldn't be here today.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 12:54 PM

Inbreeding is good for you

In opposite world

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 12:55 PM

Actually

Mating with 'other ethnic groups' actually improves the gene pool and reduces inbreeding depression. It is called hybrid vigor. Keeping a so called 'pure' society just increases the risk that you will develop a whole plethora of nasty conditions. Somehow I don't think that this is what he was getting at though.

Other species? what a fucking tool.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 12:56 PM

Finns marry Finns so they have a pure society?????

Gee, I've been through some small towns in Georgia where they must have a REALLY pure society!

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 12:56 PM

FOX news and Al Franken-Senator

And so we see why Al Franken left comedy. It's just geting to damn easy.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 12:57 PM

FOX FEAR un BALANCED

This is the same dick that walked of the stage when Jesse Venture was pushing back good and hard on the FAUX talking points. WHAT A DICK!

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 12:57 PM

I guess now we should call him...

"The brownshirt guy who isn't Steve Doocy"

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 12:59 PM

OTHER SPECIES

First you marry them ,then they want to go to the same schools...where, oh where will it end?

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 01:00 PM

He flubbed his talking point

I think what he was trying to do was spit out the common right wing talking point that they use to explain away the fact that citizens of commufascisocialist countries like Sweden continually report experiencing a much better quality of life than we Americans, even though we're "richer", i.e. because they are relatively homogeneous ("pure" in dimbulb-speak), there is less social conflict.

He seriously flubbed the landing on that rhetorical triple-axle. "Pure" genes? Different races="different species"? No racism here - move along now...

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 01:00 PM

I'd have more respect for these guys...

if they'd just own their racism like the KKK does. Just come out and say what they really are and what they really mean instead of offering hopelessly defensive "I'm sorry I said something that offended you" type apologies after these "gaffes." But one way or another, their "true colors" keep shining through!

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 01:03 PM

He doesn't have a point

Ignoring the whole another "species" bit (which is a gigantic elephant in the room if we do), he doesn't make sense genetically. A "pure" ethnicity would be more likely to have problems from recessive genetic diseases than a mixed population. Caucasians are more likely to carry the mutation(s) that cause cystic fibrosis for example.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 01:05 PM

On the bright side

Sweden has same sex marriage and Finland has domestic partnerships!

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 01:05 PM

NEWSFLASH!

If you watch and listen to that Fox crap, you are not the sharpest tool in the woodshed yourself.

If you have to laugh a stupids on Fox, you might want to try a mirror.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 01:05 PM

It's true.

Last year, I married a dog BECAUSE teh gays got to "marry" each other in Taxachusetts. I gave birth to a litter of half human/half dogs, which I call, being Bigguns, my dogguns, except for the biggest one, which I call my bigdog.

I'd blame the gays, but I rather like being married to a dog.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 01:05 PM

no wonder...

My purely Icelandic grandmother married a Welshman... no wonder I am such a dork.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 01:06 PM

Man, that went downhill in a hurry...

"...All, I'm saying, is we marry other species, and...um, well, it's important that we keep our genes pure, and well, um...maybe all of those people advocating Eugenics-based government programs weren't totally off base..."

Fox News: Going from light-coffee-talk, to third-reich-talk faster than you can say "Did he really just say that?"

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 01:07 PM

P.S. -

Carrie Prejean must be proud of my opposite marriage and all.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 01:07 PM

"We keep marrying other species"

Hey! You're talking about the girl I took to the Prom!

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 01:09 PM

mutts are healthier than purebreds

Its pretty elementary science that states that when you INCREASE a gene pool, you strengthen it, and when you NARROW a gene pool (say, as in incest) you create genetic problems.

Not only is he a moronic racist, he is a dumb-ass moronic racist.

God help me, my parents watch Fox...

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 01:09 PM

It's not racist...

...it's just deeply ignorant. He's clearly misusing nomenclature and misapplying concepts he doesn't understand. Fox and Friends wouldn't be half as embarrassing if they stuck to cheese-puff topical issues and didn't try to weigh in with thoughtful analysis of, well, anything.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 01:09 PM

@somethingstinks

Thanks to you, we have a lot more to laugh at than just Fox.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 01:09 PM

Wait...WHAT?

Holy shit, that's some serious crazy!

I'm still not certain - are these people trying to do permanent damage to their chances of regaining power? Because...DAMN.
