Too bad it wasn't on purpose.
The statistics bear out an argument exactly OPPOSITE of what she is saying.
Specifically that NOT having socialized medicine kills old people.
BUT WAIT
Elders in the US already have socialized medicine. Medicare. And it happens to work much much better than any of the private insurance schemes the under 65 crowd has to put up with.
So one view of things: if you are dead or not looking after yourself for whatever reason before you're 65, then you have only yourself to blame. Cannot be our 'best in the world' healthcare system.
Them there's some really nice road apples you're selling lady!
Complete twit... specious at best.
Wow.
Perhaps she's seeking early vetting as Palin's head of Homeland Security.
Yes, speaking from beyond the grave, I have the early leading lights of the American conservative movement, who want to give their response to this video. First up is William F. Buckley. Mr. Buckley, what do you have to say regarding Ms. Jackson's comments?
Buckley: Mph! Sob! [Sound of uncontrolled sobbing.]
Well, Mr. Buckley seems unable to respond right now. We'll go to the spirit of Richard M. Nixon. President Nixon, what is your response to this video?
Nixon: Jesus H. Christ, what the fuck was that?
Thank you Mr. President. And Senator Goldwater, what do you have to say?
Goldwater: I TOLD you this was going to happen! I warned you long ago what would happen if you let those Christian Right idiots take over!
Very good Senator Goldwater. And you, President Reagan?
Reagan: Well, golly, I still don't have any clue what's going on. God bless America!
And there you have it, folks. Republicans speaking from beyond the grave!
Are we really, truly sure she actually believes the things she is saying?
Because this could be some truly excellent satire if she's pulling another Colbert ...
Let's see...
I live in the Czech Republic. We have socialized medicine. Within a 6 block radius of my flat are 14 people who are 100 years or older. The oldest citizen just died at 107.
Victoria Jackson is a flaming moron.
Your list of three possible Republican pundits has two serious flaws:
1) Jim "Ernest" Varney and John "Dean Wormer" Vernon are, sadly, both dead. Although they might serve as reminders of the heyday of the Death Tax ululations.
2) Oscar the Grouch would be a poor spokesman, as he made his coin on that haven of commu-socialism PBS. Also, he only has a *hand* up his ass.
Hannity obviously thinks she's for real. He sticks up for her throughout. Which doesn't mean that she really IS for real. However, if she's faking it, she's punked Hannity brilliantly.

I enjoy a truthful discussion, not one with misrepresentations, so lets start with what I said:
And more importantly, do those countries have the same pitiful life expectancy for black males that the US does? I think that number skews the results a tad lower.
Then you chose to be snarky for no apparent reason, and offer no support for your claim, for some reason expecting others to find the exact same data you did.
The CDC releases life expectancy data by race, if you use teh google and look up the number, you will find that even controlling for race Us lags Sweden by about... 2 years.
Then you continue your snark again after I ask for your citation.
There is nothing magical with the query "life expectancy by race" if you really want it
But you don't need CDC data to realize that black males can't numerically drag down life expectancy by a huge amount- they make up about 5% of the population, They literally need to have a life expectancy of about 5 to fully account for that 2 year gap.
Factoring in black males drops the average life expectancy by 0.5 years, from 75.7 to 75.2.
You say 1 to 2 years are significant, but 0.5 years isn't? Why is that?
Never once did I say they account for the whole difference, I did say they skew it lower. Try to be honest and less of a jerk next time, we both might learn more that way.
....as well as a life expectancy of 66.03.
So by your logic, Victoria Jackson is right! Universal healthcare IS killing people, atleast in Russia!
Each country is so complicated, that to sum up "life expectancy" as the sole indicator of quality of healthcare is ridiculous.
Just another measure of how desperate and wacked out the GOP and it's propaganda network have become now that the nation has come to its senses and rejected their bullshit once and for all. LOL
"Victoria Jackson is still a wacko, but this is from the wikipedia page you linked:
This list does not directly reflect the quality of healthcare of the countries listed.
And more importantly, do those countries have the same pitiful life expectancy for black males that the US does? I think that number skews the results a tad lower.
And then finally, the life expectancy is 1 to 2 years higher than the US. I haven't done the math, but I don't think that qualifies as "significantly higher"."
I didn't mean to imply that that statistic alone means their healthcare system is better than ours, but they do show that it is ridiculous to say that countries with government-run health are killing off their old people.
s/significantly/noticably

I agree with you 100%.
who mentioned: 'She called Obama a commie Nazi, revealing that she knows nothing about communism or Nazis.'
I think she saw that used in a Simpsons episode about Poochie or something like that. I think she probably thought the episode was a documentary.
