Well

I guess she was a bimbo after all.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 08:51 AM

She Put the Dumb in Blonde

I noticed she is looking(a bit large)like a Republican.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 08:51 AM

Seriously...

what is wrong with these people? Are they so desperate for attention that they're willing to look like complete crackpots? Anybody with half a brain would think to themselves, "wait a minute, that doesn't sound right." We desperately need voter education and instruction in critical thinking.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 08:52 AM

I used to like her stand-up and when she was on Saturday Night Live

Now she sounds like she's been drinking from the same Kool-Aid trough as Chuck Norris.

One last thing, speaking as a fellow Baptist - Victoria Jackson does not speak for me!

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 08:53 AM

Only people who don't seem to give a damn can be trusted!

Victoria Jackson, like many in the GOP these days, makes the mistake of believing that Democrats actually have the same point of view that they do but just won't admit it.

After all, Democrats couldn't actually care about what happens to someone else could they? There must be an ulterior motive whenever anyone seems to be acting out of compassion.

I guess the right wingers need to demonize liberals in order to avoid feelings of guilt that someone with a conscience would be expected to have.

Where’s the public debate between scientists on “Climate Change/Global Warming?”

In your overactive imagination, Victoria. That's the only place the flakes who deny climate change/global warming are considered to be "scientists."

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 08:55 AM

If this isn't satire...

...it's even funnier.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 08:56 AM

Victoria Jackson for President!!

She's the perfect candidate. She's got name-recognition and a face people recognize. And, she combines the best of current conservatism - a healthy dose of fundamental Christianity mixed with acute schizophrenia and topped of with a huge helping of stupid. Jackson/Palin 2012!

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 08:57 AM

She's a lib, an operative. She's got to be,

since she sure looks the neocons look bad.

She called Obama a commie Nazi, revealing that she knows nothing about communism or Nazis.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 08:57 AM

She was the dumb blond on SNL, correct?

It's almost as if this conservative stuff she's been doing is performance art. Its so foolish. She sounds more stupid than her act on SNL. I find it odd that conservatives would even want idiots like her speaking for them, but they certainly don't seem to mind.

Palin / Jackson 2012

was the funniest DAMN thing I've ever seen on here!

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 09:08 AM

It seems that the wrong Jackson was laid to rest yesterday.

If we're going to have crazy Jackson's running around, I'd like to keep the one that at least contributed something to society...

@Nathan Coker and @Harksaw

And more importantly, do those countries have the same pitiful life expectancy for black males that the US does?

I'm sure this is also true in Brazil. More importantly, however,

That must explain why Sweden, Canada, Brazil, Italy, and the UK all have significantly higher life expectances than the United States.

I'm not sure if this is a Wikipedia mistake or if the CIA pulled these numbers out of thin air, but the official life expectancy in Brazil currently stands at 72.78 years. It's only supposed to reach 81.3 in 2050.

http://www.ibge.gov.br/brasil_em_sintese/tabelas/populacao_tabela02.htm

Public health in Brazil is, on average, bad and only the poor tend to use it, although it's infinitely superior to nothing. On the other hand, the private insurance market is highly regulated and the justice system is extremely empathetic to patients suing insurers or even the federal government which is supposed to provide free medicine, but sometimes doesn't.

Nonetheless, there's no reason for the US to look at Brazil with so many successful examples of public health systems in developed countries. I'm surprised, though, that republicans haven't yet.

Victoria Jackson

Palin sounds like Victoria Jackson and vice a versa...they should both go to the Salmon grounds and kill fish together. It would prove to be more productive for Vicki rather than her "trying" to imitate a "pundit".

Smallywood

Do yourself a favor and check out Big Hollywood once in a while. It's amazing. And please, please comment. I can't comment any longer - they no like my IP address lol. Seriously thought, they really need to be engaged.

The UK's National Health Service agrees, sort of

A report recently noted that as many as 15,000 senior citizens a year die needlessly in the UK for lack of adequate diagnostic care or access to the appropriate care. But fuck them they're old.

Godwin's Law

Has VJ never heard of Godwin's Law?

And in a move that seems almost impossible, when you look at this in context, after having said during the election - with great gnashing of teeth and terror - that Obama was the Anti-Christ (yes, she actually said this), comparing him to Hitler is actually a step in the less crazy direction.

Nevermind that she also considers him a racist.

So, the communist, racist, Hitler-esque Anti-Christ. Yes, just another day in DC. Or Victoria Jackson's head.

Great country we live in, that we are all free to express our most wacko, unbridled opinions, isn't it? I'm serious about that.

For Real?

This is so over the top weird (even for Repugs) that I have to think it's an audition for Comedy Central via Fox because the Comedy network won't return her calls.

I've seen this before

This is what happens when hot chicks get fat. They lose their marbles.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 09:22 AM

Celebrity Fit Club

She was one of the fat has beens competing on Celebrity Fit Club a few years ago. Looks like the little weight she lost came back.

I used to like her on SNL. She had no discernable talent, other than being cute. But I was a young guy, so that was enough for me. She got a lot of press when she left the show to marry a cop, which I thought was pretty cool. She left him after a few years of course.

I remember seeing her pop up occasionally on Politically Incorrect during the Clinton years. My infatuation was officially over even before she lost her looks. At least her outward appearance now matches her inner ugliness.

logic lesson for Nathan Coker

Victoria Jackson advanced the hypothesis that adopting what she calls "socialized" medicine would "kill" elderly people.

Although a controlled experiment is impossible, we can make some observations. Virtually all affluent countries, and some countries which are not so affluent, have what she would qualify as a "socialized" medical system. If there is a higher than expected (by US standards) rate of death among the elderly in many or all of these countries, and a subsequent lower life expectancy at birth, Jackson's hypothesis will be supported by relatively good circumstantial evidence.

No, however, we do not see any tendency for nations with what Jackson would term "socialized" medicine to show lower life expectancies. We see the opposite.

This does not prove that the US health care system is lowering US life expectancy.

It is, however, a strong argument against Jackson's claim that socialized medicine will "kill" elderly people.

A point both you and Jackson fail to note is that when middle class "insured" Americans develop serious illnesses, they often receive to notch medical care, but end up bankrupted due to limits on insurance coverage. This isn't reflected in life expectancy statistics but is a major negative feature of the US system.
