You claim liberals are afraid of Sarah Palin because she's "sensible, smart, and real."
If that's true, then I guess conservatives are utterly terrified of President Obama -- practically catatonic with fear, actually -- because he's highly educated and speaks clearly and intelligently.
Your problem isn't with liberals...we love Palin...and want her around. She does our work for us.
Your problem is with Republicans who see her as a figure calculated to scare away independents and swing voters away from the GOP...
because Palin and her fans are riding the crazy train.
Don't get mad at liberals, you guys.
Get mad at sane Republicans.
Why are Palin fans still saying liberals are 'afraid' of her? I realize that was kind of a Limbaugh based talking point - but, um, she QUIT HER JOB! I don't care why, really - the bottom line is, she bailed out on her state, which she was elected to serve, which was her duty - and the only excuse I'd accept is a true family crisis. (very sick child, husband, that sort of thing) Because it serves her political ambition or because she's peevish with 'mean' bloggers just makes her look like a damned fool. They all have to take stories about themselves. (this won't influence those who think Obama's birth certificate proves he's from Neptune, but I'm not talking to them, anyway) They have to endure it, because they - presumably - have a job they want to do, a cause they believe in.
If she did this for political reasons, the only cause she believes in is herself, & she'll drop any job unfinished if something better comes along. If she did it because she's under pressure - well, gee... we don't need THAT in any position of power.
There's nothing that she can do that will get her passed the "Quitter" label. Nothing. If it had been a crisis, she would have said so at the time. It's all about her. And that means she's done.
I'm just glad that we men don't hate each other as badly as women hate other women-The earth would be a bloody battlefield in every corner of it-
Yeah, there'd be like, wars and crime and and prisons and dictators and terrorists and ethnic cleansing and stuff.
Good thing we don't have any of that, right?
Way to go, men, for not hating each other like women do.
To her acolytes, Palin's quitting her governorship was further proof of her political genius. I've been following the comments on Lucianne.com, and literally nothing she could do or say would make them doubt her, much less reject her.
Luckily this is only a tiny sliver of the electorate, because it's really pretty disturbing.
As others have pointed out, this is highly ironic given the right's claim that people who voted for Obama believe he's the Messiah. Pure projection, is what it is.
Housegate, does not involve doing free stuff for Palin because she could become the next gov. It was about a awarding a contract to builders who neither had the experience in that type of work, nor the lowest bid, bu who had donated heavily to Palin. The awarding of the contract lead to a lawsuit by competing builders. It appears now that Palin didn't give just get donations, but quite probably got a huge house built for free and then had the materials and labor charged back to the the building of the sports center to the city of Wasilla. The fact that Todd claims he build a 3400 square foot on his with some buddies in his free time over a couple of months, coupled with Sara suspending the need to apply for any bulding permits during the time of the construction as always hinted that something crooked was going on.
If it turns out that Sara and Todd embazzled the money from Wasilla to construct the house, you better believe she wants out of Dodge before it comes out. Wasilla is tiny town of less then 10,000 people, who she stuck with a huge debt stemming from the poorly mananged sports complex construction. Can you imagine want her neighbors are going to want to do her if it turns out their higher taxes have gone to building the Palins their dreamhouse?
Be nice, you betcha, fer shure. Don't you worry about me, no sir.
She's a coward. And it was we liberals who sent her running with her tail between her legs.
Sadly that's pretty much all the Republican Party and American conservatives have left: fear and weakness. You should be dancing in the streets now that Palin is gone and you can choose someone of character - but all you're able to do is whine and mew about how abused she was by the liberals. Get some self-respect.
I have nothing but contempt for people of any political persuasion who would choose such a craven buffoon for a leader.
why do you rightists attack Obama and virtually every other liberal with such venom? Is it because it bothers liberal supporters and gets a reaction from them?
Is that really what you believe, or are you just trying to piss people off?
I attack palin not because it might piss off a small-minded hayseed like yourself, missy. I attack her because I do not want her anywhere near any seat of power. She's uneducated, unintelligent, overly partisan, ideologically narrow, and ambitious beyond her ways and means. The only thing she's got going for her is her GILF status that she relies heavily on, and that will trade on the open market for only a little while longer. Then you and everybody else will be saying "what ever happened to.. um... what's her name?"
ever meet a strawman argument you DIDN'T like? But I gotta tell you, I loved the irony of reading your nasty, venomous little rant saying that the left is nasty and venomous. It definitely made me laugh.
Not *with* you, I'm afraid.
oh, btw, it's called "speech" not "speach." And the "freedom of speech" clause in the constitution applies to the congress, not to you and me or Salon, or Fox, or MSNBC. But of course, expecting you to know actual facts is probably expecting too much of you.
