Will Coleman issue a statement?

Let us know when he does... That will be interesting.

Anyway, good for Franken. Finally. Stuart Smalley for president!

President Al Franken.

First the Senate, next the Presidency!

Al Franken marches on!

Imagine if it had the other way around

The GOP would very likely have been screaming bloody murder, about obstruction of the will of the people.

the franken victory

Two points: Franken won the election months ago, not just by Court fiat

Second,l had Al Gore pursued the election as long as Coleman did, the right would have declared him a traitor to the system.

Go get 'em, Al!

BillO & Rush

Remember when Al gave BillO the big smack down at that book conference a few years ago. Can BillO bring himself to utter the words "Senator Al Franken"? He can't claim to have gotten an award that matches that sort of legitimacy.

Rush presents himself as the greatest of all radio entertainers, with talent on loan from God, dwarfing pikers like Al. Why didn't God make Rush a Senator? I guess that sort of talent isn't lent out.

@btdenver

Why didn't God make Rush a Senator?

Rush doesn't want to be a Senator. He wouldn't like dealing with all the questions about why he takes Viagra with him on his trips to the Dominican Republic.

Happy days - they're here again!

O Joy! O Joy! Finally we're getting what we truly, truly deserve - a serious mind in a senate full of comedians.

Tuesday, June 30, 2009 03:40 PM

Congrats Minnesota!

Franken's good enough, smart enough, and gosh darn it, people like him!

How Will the Al Franken Decade Affect You?

This is great! Now the Dems can finally without obstruction enact President Obama's agenda of pursuing a different pointless and doomed war in South Asia; expanding the Bush-Cheney secrecy, surveillance and torture state; and not pursuing the kind of universal health care program that would bring the U.S. firmly into the second half of the 20th century.

What a great day. For all of us!

Advice Frkm Myself To The GOP On How To Eat It

Chew. Otherwise not only might you choke, you won't get to savor the full, steamy flavor.

Finally!

It will be nice to see a new Dem in the Senate who isn't afraid of the liberal or progressive label. Well done, people of Minnesota!
