Even Matt Drudge thinks it's a slow news week

The news aggregator tries to make some of his own, accusing President Obama of using the "evil eye"

some slow news week

Apparently a coup in Honduras -- the first coup in a Central American country in more than two decades -- doesn't count as news.

Nothing to see here, just move along.

Tuesday, June 30, 2009 07:51 AM

Oh Matt, you f'ed up closet queen

I'm giving YOU the stink eye!

Tuesday, June 30, 2009 07:52 AM

News ?

Since when is Drudge considered news ?

Tuesday, June 30, 2009 08:02 AM

It's not the evil eye

Drudge should have given the correct label of:

The Chairman looks toward the tele-prompter for what to say...

Tuesday, June 30, 2009 08:04 AM

Welp, Drudge may be onto something.

I mean sure, lotsa Negroes are into pracketin' voo-doo.

Re: Honduras

My first thought exactly....

Forgot how parochial US news was.

Tuesday, June 30, 2009 08:14 AM

get your story straight

Does he offer too much deference to foreign leaders, or does he give them evil looks? Which is it, right-wing loonies?

Tuesday, June 30, 2009 08:14 AM

Only time I ever saw Obama pissed

Was when Biden said something particularly stupid, even for Biden. I forget what it was, but Obama looked like he wanted to kill him. And I thought we liked Merkel.

If its slow, then back to cruising........

If the news day is slow, poor Matt may have to go back to his days of cruising the gay bars in Miami Beach. Ahhh, the good ole days.

@DLF & J E Morris

If it ain’t in the War Room, it ain’t news…..

Who cares about a silly little squabble in Honduras?

If it really heats up, Salon will have an analysis done by the Weekly Wingnut. If it lingers for awhile, Aunt Cammy will keep us updated in her Monthly Musings.

That Honduras stuff isn’t important. That’s for trivial news and news analysis sites.

Meanwhile, Try this link:

Hope this helps.

Re: Honduras: ditto

Apparently, the first successful Latin American coup in sixteen fucking years is not "news."

Linked below are pictures of the Tehran-style repression in Honduras. Don't click; it's not news.

Oh, I don't know. What about Frank Lombard?

Drudge did mention Frank Lombard, the white male homosexual member of the Eno Commons white-only gay commune, who together with his life partner Ken Shipp adopted two black babies for molesting. Infant analingus on Internet TV, the whole schmear. I still can't figure out why they gave the two black babies to him, although according to the police report he did recommend black babies to his fellow perverts (because they are so easy to get).

And it really is news. We could have a wonderful discussion of whether the black community should permit white male perverts to acquire children for sexual purposes. Particularly since Frank identified their ease of purchase. I expect this is common knowledge among gay pedophiles, although not among black people, I am sure. So lets make it news!

It would be worthwhile to discuss whether a public gay fetish for young boys should bar any adoptions. I mean, its not like Frank was in the closet or anything. Just go to Amazon.com and search for "Frank M.Lombard" favorite movies.

It would also be valuable to discuss whether a gay partner with full knowledge of his gay lover's baby fetish should be held liable for child abuse when he leaves an infant in the fetishist's care.

So I disagree, Drudge has been up on the news this week, it's just that some white folks would prefer that black folks don't notice, and some black folks at Duke who got their panties in a twist about that black stripper (while Frank was busy diddling black babies) are too embarrassed to bring it up.

would you friggin' people quit your bitching!

Anyone who's spent any time on Salon should know that it's a political site, not a news site. That's just the way it is. Whether it offers itself as a news site, or you think it should be a news site, it doesn't matter.

Salon is for politics. Period. If you want news, go somewhere else.

drudge's ploy.

Drudge put that throwaway story up there purely to track how influential his website is among the other media sources, today. You're the first one to fall for it.

Not a poker player

Of course he shows his cards. The guy has no poker face. Just like his wife, who has her own more sinister and telling version of 'evil eye' that she gave to Carla Bruni in that memorable Drudge link a few weeks back. Please controll your emotions Mr. President and try to at least appear to regard our NATO allies, even if their populace rejected socialism by electing right-leaning governments.

Yeah, no news except for when 0bama decides that we shouldn't meddle with Iran, yet has no problem meddling with Honduras when one of his left-wing buddies gets thrown out on his ass for circumventing that country's constitution in an attempt to retain power beyond his allowable terms. The so-called 'coup' in Honduras was done within the letter of the law at the behest of Honduras' supreme court. Why is Obama meddling there?

Drudge DID cover the suppression of the EPA report though....

...right before the House vote on the climate change bill, coincidentally. I didn't see too much on Salon about it.

Sanford?

And here I thought that sex scandals were Muck Dredge's feast of choice. Where's the decade-stretching outrage? Oh. Right. Sanford is a Repugnican...

Memorable?

"...that memorable Drudge link a few weeks back ..."

It's amazing how freely people (mis) apply adjectives these days. The above is the equivalent of saying: I found a "memorable" banana peel on my driveway today that a raccoon pulled out of my garbage.

But can Obama look into their souls?

Bush had the mutant power to look into another world leader's soul. Like he said he did with Putin.

Tuesday, June 30, 2009 09:09 AM

@navyguy

Unfortunately, Bush's mutant power turned out to just be another delusion like WMDs in Iraq.

As far as President Obama's use of hard looks goes all I can say is whoop-tee-doo.

Tuesday, June 30, 2009 09:11 AM

I love how liberals hate the Drudge Report...

...despite the fact that probably 95% of the content is simply links to mainstream news sources.

Tuesday, June 30, 2009 09:12 AM

@C. Mosby

I thought is was humorous hypocracy regarding Obama's statements about Honduras. Seems he has no problem meddling there, and supporting Cuba, and his book club buddy Hugo Chavez's positions supporting this oppressive regime. Gee I mean all the people wanted was thier leader to adhere to the law on term limits and step down. Why shouldn't the US support such a leader and quickly condemn the people's actions? I mean it's not as if the government was shooting them in the streets like in Iran. So sometimes meddling is OK? Why should any of this be news on Salon? C'mon!!
