My dear LondonLad,

Feet? I prefer to think of them as TENTACLES!

You know the kind, the Japanese kind. Not the Disney kind. The Japanese kind.

With suckers and pseudopodia and peepers all wet and glistening and dripping.

I guess I shouldn't have clicked on THAT link the other day . . .

"Prove that BHO is not or has not been a citizen of either Kenya or the United Kingdom by virtue of his father's citizenship?"

Obama's an American citizen.

As a child, he was also a Kenyan citizen and British subject because of his father, but since he didn't claim Kenyan citizenship at 21 (and Kenya became independent from the UK), Kenya doesn't recognize him.

My sister was born when my family was living in Montreal. She had the option of declaring Canadian citizenship after her 21st birthday, which she didn't. It would have meant renouncing her American citizenship.

She and Obama have that in common.

'Twould be so simple to shut down the naysayers

but O'Bama can't do that cuz a birth certificate does not exist so all you're gonna git is the short form from Hawaii and his mother's citizenship and 'round and 'round the mulberry bush.

My dear kristinp,

Well then let us see what the documents and records have to say.

Oh yes, we are not allowed to see those documents and records.

Why?

Because they are PRIVATE.

What did the school and health records say about nationality?

T O P S E C R E T !

Yes, maybe it is al just a puzzle game to waste people's time, but it is not we who set it up.

And WHO IS BARRY SOTERO / SOETORO?

What was his nationality?

@ LondonLad

Why would the state of Hawaii hold a 1961 Hawaiian birth certificate for a person who wasn't born in Hawaii in 1961?

They certainly don't hold my birth certificate. Why is that, do you suppose?

“ Now, watch as he says that the evidence is either forged, or that snarkybites is a better source than the Washington Post”

I’m not a fan of the WaPo. It does seem, however, that it’s a more reliable source for facts about this than “snarkybites”.

OTOH, I also must agree that “snarkybites” is a better source if you’re in need of some laughs.

Really, if you have the patience to plow through some of it and want to have some fun, check out the comments on this “1963 Birth Certificate issue”. There are some comments that attempt to keep it within the realm of sanity such as this one:

“Ordering one in 1998 has no bearing on 2008. Order a fresh copy as was suggested months ago and see what you get. Same type of COLB as Obama. That’s all HI DOH sends since the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004. That type of short form is all some states send.”

They are, of course, ignored by the tin-foilers genuinely excited by this “smoking gun”, in favor of stuff from posters like Dr. Bobbi Anne White and Bishop Ron McRae. Be sure not to miss those, enjoy!:

The stuff showing up here is almost, but not quite, as funny.

Golly, well, tell me where and when you were born so that I can verify that you're an American citizen. I need all your education records, too.

Why do I need this info, you ask?

Well, why not? What do you have to hide?

Excuse me. I didn't ask anyone to care one way or the other about the site "snarkybites" did I? Just concentrate on the fucking long form produced there.

It's like the third grade, isn't it?

LondonLad demands that we complete an impossible task to allay his particular form of dementia, while ignoring every piece of evidence we produce. It's not only just plain rude (no, I'm going to ignore you, now DO WHAT I SAY), it's completely juvenile. It's the equivalent of:

Nah-nee Nah-nee boo-boo, stick your head in doo-doo

I know you are, but what am I?

Well, LondonLad, in response, I think I speak for everyone when I say:

I'm rubber, you're glue, whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you!

Wednesday, July 1, 2009 12:37 PM

Oh, and

No matter how many times you ask for it, the long-form certificate is not relevant.

It isn't relevant.

It isn't relevant.

It isn't relevant.

Infinity plus infinity

Long form, short form...

...doesn't matter.

As I said, I lost the original 1946 photocopy of my birth certificate. I got a green document much like Obama's in its place.

There is absolutely no difference between them in their authenticity as proof that I'm an American.

I've never been required to produce that "long form" copy of yore, nor will I be (unless it's a birther doing the requiring), because the green one is my birth certificate, too.

“Just concentrate on the fucking long form produced there.”

Yes Sir! Anything else Sir?

Now YOU just concentrate on how I ignore ignorant nut-job wannabe cyberthread despots.

@C. Mosby, I can do you one better

Back in 1996, a computer game came out called Duke Nukem 3d. It was your standard doom-like game except it had some really cool effects (for the time), and the character would make all kinds of snarky comments while you were playing, and there was a scene with some badly-digitized strippers.

They promised a game called Duke Nukem Forever, a sequel to Duke 3d. Time passed. More time passed. We built the international space station, and Britney Spears had her entire career. More time passed.

It became the standard joke in the software industry. "Yeah, when DNF is released," was equivalent to, "when pigs fly."

This year, it was finally announced that 3drealms (the company that was supposedly making the game) was going out of business, so we shouldn't expect DNF any time soon.

In all that time though, there were true believers who thought the game was coming out, and were speculating as to the features of the game. Even to this day, people are still posting on the forums (http://www.3drealms.com/forums.html). Some people still think it's going to be resurrected somehow. These guys make the birthers look like amateurs (although, I'm sure there is some cross-over appeal).
