Pat Boone goes Birther

The entertainer gets behind the movement that claims -- wrongly -- President Obama isn't eligible for his job

@Calif Mike

This is a wrong subject for this particular thread.

Not really. This thread is about people who cling to a particular viewpoint, and do so by ignoring all objective reality that clashes with that viewpoint. Your opinion about torture, and the kind of denial you engage in to maintain that opinion, dovetails neatly into this discussion.

Fact is, across the board, you have proven yourself to be a blind partisan.

I thought the topic of this thread was Pat Boone vs. Barack Obama.

If you want to discuss this subject, I am all for it.

By the way, you didn’t have a chance to respond to my latest post on the “We are all birthers now” thread because it was closed.

If you want to respond now, we can continue our previous discussion.

I have only one simple precondition, though: we will discuss the articles, but not each other.

Is it OK with you?

@Calif Mike

I thought the topic of this thread was Pat Boone vs. Barack Obama.

Of course you did. You believe this is a safe topic for you to discuss, seeing as your bullshit hasn't been so completely exposed here as it has been in the torture discussion. You have apparently found your shame at being wrong regarding torture, which I suppose is an improvement. You lack the maturity to admit as much, but hell, what can one hope for in a republican?

However, I'll tell you something. When you're exposed as a bullshitter on one topic, it follows you to other topics. This is what the reality-based community calls "credibility," and you don't have any, especially as regards politics. You have demonstrated that you choose a point of view not based on what's true, but based on the partisan advantage you think you can derive from it.

And, surprise surprise, you find this birth certificate discussion compelling. Hmmmm, I wonder why...

If you want to discuss this subject, I am all for it.

Really? What on earth would you say? Would you explain why the State of Hawaii is covering for Obama's deception? Would you explain how those birth announcements got into those Honolulu newspapers? Would you explain why there could be any doubt about Obama's citizenship, given that one of his parents is an American? Of course not. Those aspects of this topic are completely off-limits to someone like you. No, your discussion here needs to focus solely on "Well, he's obviously got something to hide, cuz..." and enter a lie here.

Sorry, Mike. What you think isn't worth anything. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news. (Actually, no, I'm not.)

The truth is always very painful for people like Alex

but when he wakes up after the 2012 election and Baracky the Bullcrapper, Jowinkle and Fiends have disappeared he will watch our nation return to its once-great self.

@terkoy

Does that level of childish delusion help you sleep at night or something? Do you believe sharing it with others achieves something other than pigeonholing you as a moron? Just wondering.

When our President delivered his speech in Cairo, was he not "reaching out"

to a constituency who are STILL involved in the slave trade?

Doesn't this constituency also "cling to their religion and guns"?

Hypocrisy, thy name is liberal.

I proposed one very easy, from my point of view, rule for our potential future discussions: not to attack each other, but discuss the issues.

It seems like you have rejected my suggestion. It’s OK. You’d rather use emotions instead of logic. That’s fine, too. It will work with somebody else, not me.

You gave me “bad news:”

“Sorry, Mike. What you think isn't worth anything.” Why, then, did you react to my posts on several occasions?

I asked you a aspecific question about my last post one of the threads on the same topic. You did not respond to it. Instead, you started bashing me.

Don’t get me wrong: you did not offend me at all. I just feel sorry that an adult can’t or doesn’t want to keep civilized conversations.

Please try to use logic when you write something. Look at what you wrote:

“And, surprise surprise, you find this birth certificate discussion compelling. Hmmmm, I wonder why...”

Last time I checked, there were 183 posts, and only three or four are mine.

I can discuss any subject on the appropriate thread. Otherwise, it’s going to be a mess. This is my approach. If you don’t like it, there is nothing I can do about it.

This is my last attempt. If you are up to a normal civilized discussion, I am ready. Otherwise, good luck to you!

Please, folks...

Can't we stick to Pat Boone's birther poppycock?

Tuesday, June 30, 2009 09:06 PM

Sorry, Kristen

I think Boone's been exhausted.

However, discussing the people who share the same mentality as Boone, who are here to respond, that's interesting!

@Calif Mike

I proposed one very easy, from my point of view, rule for our potential future discussions: not to attack each other, but discuss the issues.

You mean, discuss the issues dishonestly up until that dishonesty is revealed, and then run away, right? Because that's your pattern.

This pattern obviates any real discussion of any issues. Until you can acknowledge that this is how you engage here, and either explain why that's a good thing, or declare your intention to change, you won't be good for anything but ridicule.

I asked you a aspecific question about my last post one of the threads on the same topic. You did not respond to it.

I'm sorry, I have no idea what you said in your last post of the thread of the same topic. Believe it or not, I do not commit your words to memory. No doubt it was very clever. I'm sure it thoroughly explained the mystery of the State of Hawaii falsifying records, and the Honolulu newspapers inserting announcements of births that never occurred. No doubt it includes an explanation of how Obama could be born to an American citizen and yet not be a citizen himself. I can't wait!

I can discuss any subject on the appropriate thread.

Great! Because I can't wait to hear what you have to say about this:

http://letters.salon.com/opinion/greenwald/2009/06/30/accountability/view/index12.html

Run, Forest, run!!!

But as for discussing the birth certificate issue, after already presenting a pile of evidence amply supporting the fact that Obama is a natural born citizen, I've got nothing left but ridicule for whatever imbeciles continue to cling to this fantasy.
