gad!

This crap out of the tin hat birthers here is so nonsensical that I, too, am becoming convinced that the posts are coming from laughing copy editors deep in the bowels of Salon.com Central, doing their best to build up page view counts.

NOBODY is as insane as stinky and heavenstomurgatroid and still NOT committed.

Honestly... I've run into blithering, pants wetting, street winos on lower Burnside who had a more coherent attachment to reality than these poor, sad mental cases.

@Murgatroyd

He has wrought all of this upon our nation.

All "this?" All what?

I've got some news for you. Here in America at any one time, millions and millions of people will be focusing on something brain-crushingly stupid. It might be American Idol. It might be Cabbage Patch dolls, or the latest by Brangelina. Now, it also includes this birther thing. Idiots will always do what they do. Trying to blame this on Obama is pretty stupid, but I guess that point has already been made.

Honestly... I've run into blithering, pants wetting, street winos on lower Burnside who had a more coherent attachment to reality than these poor, sad mental cases.

I don't know if that was meant as hyperbole, but fact is I've had that same experience (but not on lower Burnside), running across homeless folks in the street who conduct themselves a lot more sanely than the birthers. Pretty wild...

Question for all you Birfers

If there's even ONE SCRAP of real evidence that Obama is not eligible to serve as President, then why didn't Karl Rove and the entire Republican party pick up on it and run with it before Election Day? Why didn't Hillary Clinton pick up on it?

Obama's been a serious contender for the job for FOUR YEARS before he actually got elected. You had all that time to make your case, and you couldn't even get enough for Karl Rove to use. Why not?

If you can't answer that question, then you have no case.

Tuesday, June 30, 2009 12:02 PM

@motherwell

Of course they can't answer that question, along with lots and lots of others, and therefore, you're correct, they have no case.

However, they're about to come back to this thread with a vengeance, making the same claims while ignoring your question and all the other unanswerable ones. This story is not about any birth certificates, but about how people can divorce themselves from reality, the why's and the how's. As that goes, it's pretty interesting.

something whatever

You know, there oughta be a way for each of us to block another poster, like hiding the crazies on facebook without actually defriending them. That way, we can all block this idiot and save ourselves the aggravation of being subjected to his rantings, and he can spend his days screaming into a giant abyss, not even realizing that ** noone is listening ** !

(I've only read a short portion of the letters so far, so I apologize if someone else suggested this already ... )

Renegade the troll expert weighs in on Stinkazoid, with questions he will not answer

Stinkybritches, you are great at circular reasoning. I know this won't put your record back in its groove, but it's fun to watch you duck and dodge, it's sort of like watching Mike Tyson get 8 rounds of pure punishment from Lennox Lewis, without landing a hit.

If you're so smart, why don't you answer a few simple questions? Should be a piece of cake.

1. Where is it written that an original copy of a birth certificate is required for any official purpose, any federal position, or any legal document, anywhere in the USA?

2. I've used my laser printout to get a copy of my social security card, to get a passport, and to get a job. Did everyone make a mistake?

3. Explain why two major newspapers reported Barack's birth in Hawaii http://whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/obamabirth.php, with the Star Bulletin even giving the address (a house, look it up on Google Earth) where they lived. Were they all in on the grand conspiracy to get the antichrist elected president?

4. Explain how the son of the daughter of a US serviceman is not automatically a natural-born citizen, even if born in Timbuktu.

Try to stay away from the CAPS LOCK key this time.

heaven's to Murgatroyd

The age of majority was twenty-one in 1961

Where in the U.S. statutes does it state a child born to a minor is not conferred citizenship?

and it also includes the amount of years AFTER achieving the age of majority -- if one gives birth on foreign soil . . .

Who gave birth on foreign soil. This hasn't even been established.

"Father's race" as "AFRICAN"

Actually, wingnuts like you have constantly "raised an eyebrow to this. It has also been summary disproved as an issue of contention by the State of Hawai'i. See:

Maybe the funniest thing I've ever read here...

If a half witted moron like Pat Boone finds this BC suspect, why don't I find it suspect?--somethingstinks

That statement is so logically unsound that it's left me speechless. Wow.

Tuesday, June 30, 2009 12:56 PM

@Katmom

Noes! Let's not get rid of the crazies!

It's a rainy afternoon where I live, and on a day like this,

I just love seeing a couple of goofball stinky-and/or-murgatroyd-types on my monitor.

It's like watching ringtail lemurs at the zoo.

Why, that's easy to answer! It's because they're all controlled by the same evil force(s): trilateral commission, illuminati, Bilderbergs, etc., etc.

Injecting some facts into the discussion

The insane trolls here seem to be allergic to facts and research. I am not.

USC 1401 (http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/8/1401.html)

The following shall be nationals and citizens of the United States at birth:

(a) a person born in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof;

As clearly indicated on his birth certificate, Obama was born in Hawaii. But, even if he weren't, the law also states:

(g) a person born outside the geographical limits of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents one of whom is an alien, and the other a citizen of the United States who, prior to the birth of such person, was physically present in the United States or its outlying possessions for a period or periods totaling not less than five years, at least two of which were after attaining the age of fourteen years: Provided, That any periods of honorable service in the Armed Forces of the United States, or periods of employment with the United States Government or with an international organization as that term is defined in section 288 of title 22 by such citizen parent, or any periods during which such citizen parent is physically present abroad as the dependent unmarried son or daughter and a member of the household of a person

(A) honorably serving with the Armed Forces of the United States, or

(B) employed by the United States Government or an international organization as defined in section 288 of title 22, may be included in order to satisfy the physical-presence requirement of this paragraph. This proviso shall be applicable to persons born on or after December 24, 1952, to the same extent as if it had become effective in its present form on that date; and

Obama's mother was the the daughter of a US serviceman. QED. But that doesn't even matter, because the State Department has clear guidelines on establishing citizenship (http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/86755.pdf)

http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/86755.pdf

7 FAM 1119 PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP BY BIRTH IN THE UNITED STATES

a. To establish a claim to U.S. citizenship by birth in the United States:

A person born in the United States in a place where official records of birth were kept

at the time of his birth shall submit with the application for a passport a birth certificate

under the seal of the official custodian of records. [22 CFR 51.43.]

b. The birth certificate must:

(1) Show the applicant’s full name, and date and place of birth;

(2) Have a filing date within 1 year of the birth; and

(3) Bear the signature of the official custodian of birth records and the raised, impressed, or multicolored seal of the issuing office.

Obama's birth certificate, here: (http://www.factcheck.org/UploadedFiles/birth_certificate_3.jpg) meets every single one of those requirements.

Full Name: Barack Hussein Obama II

Date of Birth: August 4, 1961

Place of Birth: Honolulu

Filing Date: August 8, 1961

Registrar's signature (on back): Alvin T. Onaka

Raised Seal: Check!

Not that stinkybritches or murgatroll will be dissuaded by facts and evidence, it's just for our amusement. Feel free to take advantage of my research.
