The proof Obama isn't a natural born citizen...

went down with Air France Flight 447. Isn't that obvious? An Iranian agent, Code Name "Neda", was investigating this. We all know what happened to her.

More and more

I think something stinks is just a Salon staffer paid to get people all riled up and posting letters so the Web site gets more traffic.

"Birthers" are a Distraction to Discredit Real Investigations

I suspect the "birther" movement (and even the name is rather disturbing, as if they are out to prove Obama wasn't even BORN or something, as if he emerged out of someone's mouth like Aphrodite)...is just a faux group organized mainly to distract from real investigations and to discredit legitimate suspicion and conspiracy theories about what really happened on 9/11, with the bankers, with torture/rendition, and in Iraq with regard to war profiteering.

This is a sideshow; a freakshow, if you will. Never mind how silly the idea that Obama's mother's family would bother posting a false birth announcement OR that if there was really a conspiracy behind this, that the powers involved couldn't manufacture a pristine copy of a birth certificate that would pass a "birther's" muster.

As others have pointed out, you can't have a conspiracy dating back to 1961 to engineer this foreigner as president for whatever nefarious purposes, without some real talent behind this that is more than capable of creating a fantastic forgery!

It's just silly.

Simplicity for birthers

Me, I think the birth certificate "issue" is easier for some particularly dim rightwingers to understand and "debate."

Gives 'em a chance to inveigh against Obama without having to think too hard. Thus they can avoid the more complex and intellectually demanding issues of health care, the economy, foreign policy, etc.

Wake up.

According to his own "autobiography"

Obama's Father was a citizen of the UK;

his Mother at the time of his birth was not of full majority -- or legally the "age of majority" -- in order to confer citizen status to baby Barack.

This issue is not as cut & dry as the "anti-birthers" who so desperately want to believe present it as.

Add to this legal minutiae the pronouncements of his Kenyan aunt and other relatives regarding witnessing his birth in Kenya; his sister's confusion over his place of Hawaiian birth; the fact that he travelled to Pakistan at a time when it was not possible -- read: not legal -- to enter Pakistan with an American passport [this according to HIS autobiography -- so what nation's passport did he use?]and numerous other questions, and since we are discussing the President of the United States, and not Pat Boone's or "something stinks" veracity of citizenship -- then how can a rational, reasonable person NOT have questions?

Tuesday, June 30, 2009 10:51 AM

@Murgatroyd OMG????

Stanly Ann Dunham, born in 1942, gave birth to Barack at the age of 18 (almost 19) in 1961, FULL MAJORITY MORON. Do you people know how to read?

Tuesday, June 30, 2009 11:05 AM

oh rubbish

teresa--

No where in the U.S. statutes does it state that a child born to a minor is not conferred citizenship.

That is just one of the many nonsensical or out-right-lies stated above.

Additionally, there was absolutely no U.S. travel ban to Pakistan in 1981, when Obama was said to travel there.

Obama's paternal grandmother has also repeatedly said that Obama was born in Hawai'i.

These people are just liars--and shitty ones at that.

Boone? He's senile...

Boone went senile years ago. His only gigs now are on the late night infomercial channels. Clearly, he feels he can his name back into the media by joining this ludicrous bandwagon...started by that bloated toxic toad Limbaugh.

Again, it's time for the Fairness Doctrine, to at least minimize Limbaugh's damage even if we can't shut his fat ass up.

As for Boone, I don't worry about over-the-hill, Alzheimers' prone former crooners.

Because NO prez candidate can just waltz into the oval office, in fact no one - not one- can receive SS protection while on the campaign trail unless they are born and bred citizens of the US of A. Case closed!

This is all hysteria, stupid at that, whooped up by the Right's idiots (like Limburger) because they can't think of any other way to go after Obama.

But let 'em carry on! The longer they do the more they are all marginalized.

Into the pro-Southern, pro-Confederate, pro -slavery (anti-union), gun totin', bible punchin' yahoo party they are.

Hysterical teresa.

Your nasty and hysterical "reply" not-withstanding -- doesn't alter the facts. The age of majority was twenty-one in 1961, and it also includes the amount of years AFTER achieving the age of majority -- if one gives birth on foreign soil . . .

Regarding the ubiquitous "CERTIFICATION of live birth" issued by the State of Hawaii [not certificate -- but "certification"

which is routinely issued to persons born on foreign soil] how come no one has raised an eyebrow as to the notation of "Father's race" as "AFRICAN"?

Is African a race?

questions

Assuming that Barack Obama is the towering constitutional scholar that his supporters portray him as [actually, he was a lecturer -- hardly a scholar] he should know more than anyone about the problems and pitfalls of ambiguity regarding legal matters. Lawyers are trained from their first day in Law School the rule of clarity and unequivocation in matters legal. He has wrought all of this upon our nation.

My dear sitka0230,

Well, I supposed that is why I missed you. I had a sausage sandwich and some tater tots. I would have been better off going to Whole Foods across the street. I had a dvd of plots and tracks for you. Iota changed their hours.

I am glad that Jane's has put the article back up after removing it, well, at least part of it.

You know that DC 9 that the Mexican Army busted with 5.5 tons of cocaine aboard in suitcases marked private with the plane painted to look like a US Government plane and registered to the Hangar at the fight school where they trained the 9/11 hijackers that was run by an "ex" CIA guy? Where do you suppose it took off from all loaded up with 5.5 tons of blow?

How come the MSM made nary a mention of that DC 9 with 5.5 tons of coke in it?
