Pat Boone?

I thought I'd heard he had died. I guess it was just his brain. Not that anyone would notice that.

Monday, June 29, 2009 04:51 PM

Does anyone under sixty still care about Boone anymore?

This guy hasn't had a hit in nearly half a century, does it really matter what cause he takes up? At this point, Glenn Beck could take up the birthers cause and it still wouldn't go anywhere.

So what you're saying...

Pat Boone remains batshit crazy. Who'd a thunk it?

Monday, June 29, 2009 04:53 PM

What Birth Certificate?

Anyone seen one that wasn't printed out on a LASER printer one or two years ago?

So, you are using an "uncool" Pat Boone to bolster your assumption that there IS a Birth Certificate.

That is pretty weak even for Ad Hominem.

You got nothing.

No Birth Certificate.

No Democrat President.

No Liberal President.

No change from the previous President.

Pat Boone is all you got.

He may be withe, but Barack Obama is whiter.

Isn't there a panty you should diving into somewhere?

Have you ever looked into a mirror?

And another cuckoo finds it's clock...

The whackos are coming out in droves, aren't they? The fact is - it doesn't matter. Thanks to FOX News and right-wing hate/talk radio, facts don't matter. Obama can show his birth certificate - there could be a video of Obama's birth in Hawaii, there could be DNA evidence to prove he was indeed born here! But the right-wing, lunatic fringe, christian crazies will still "believe" that he was born in Madagascar, or Kenya or Ontario or Sri Lanka... ANYWHERE but the good ol, white- man's, christian USA !

Again - facts do NOT matter. These clowns make up their own facts. You can tell these buffoons that the sky is blue and they will argue, to their death, that the sky is actually red.

I'll see your "Pat Boone" and raise you one "Alex Koppelman"

Which one is loonier? An aging pop star or a panty diving tabloid hack writer.

Pat Boone could kick your ass and then sing a song about it. He could do it from a wheelchair or a walker.

Hell, Michael Jackson could kick your ass and he is dead.

What Birth Certificate?

No one has seen it yet.

What makes you think it is real?

It's so sad when age-related dementia creeps up on people

And their friends and family members don't keep an eye on them so they don't do embarrassing or dangerous things.

Monday, June 29, 2009 05:04 PM

And that goes for you, too

Stinky...

and by the way, here in Minnesota, as in many states, birth records are all centralized in our capital city (St. Paul) and certified copies of your birth certificate can, indeed, be printed out at any county courthouse in the state.

Monday, June 29, 2009 05:04 PM

I believe this is called the genetic fallacy

It goes like this: Pat Boone's music and choice of wardrobe is to be disregarded therefore whatever point of view he has on a subject is also to be disregarded.

Hitler did horrible things therefore we should regard his views on efficient transportation as something to be dismissed.

Monday, June 29, 2009 05:05 PM

It makes sense once you decode the message

The birthers argument isn't really about birth certificates. It's about whether or not a non-white can legitimately be President of the United States.

Of course, these days you can't just come out and say "No Negro can ever legitimately be President of the USA", because you'd be dismissed as a racist.

So instead, you pretend it's about Obama's birth certificate, or alleged lack thereof. That way you can question Obama's legitimacy without having to look like a racist kook.

The copy of his birth announcement in the local paper must have been forged too

Here's a pic of the local paper from microfiche that was no doubt altered just a couple of years ago and made to look really old:

Here's the summary from Obama co-conspirator snopes.com:

-- something stinks

You bet it does.

Gettin' hammered and posting on Salon, ah yes let the good times roll!

Monday, June 29, 2009 05:08 PM

My dear tregibbs,

Anyone possessing sight can look out and see that the sky is blue. It is a fact.

No one has seen the Birth Certificate yet you believe in it just as the faithful believe in God, Jesus and Mohammed.

You know why BHO is carrying out the policies of the Bush administration?

Maybe it is because of the Birth Certificate, or lack thereof.

The man has broken his promises and lied to his supporters and robbed us blind. Sure, he would never lie about his BIRTH CERTIFICATE. That is why it cannot be shown.

You must have FATH and HOPE!

No doubt you are full of both.

@something stinks

What Birth Certificate?

No one has seen it yet.

What makes you think it is real?

I think it was pretty clever of Obama to cook up this fool's errand that's been keeping so many annoying people busy.

Pat Boone - Stupid

That's what proof looks like. Isn't it time for him to go away??? What is he now, 140 ??

NOBODY CARES WHAT HE THINKS!!!!!

Monday, June 29, 2009 05:09 PM

Pat Boone lol

Pat Boone was not liked by those of us over 60, who appreciated good music even when he was at the top his game. He has always been a conservative. Now he has joined the whacos.

This birth certificate issue could be handy in the future

For, say, if you wanted to quickly determine if someone has that rare combination of anti-Obama lunacy combined with a healthy share of stupidity.

OK, Mr. Stinks, your application looks okay, but we just want to make sure we don't let any crazies in. So, please, answer the question below honestly.

Has Barack Obama sufficiently proved his eligibility to be president?

If the answer goes longer than one word, you can safely show the person the door.

Monday, June 29, 2009 05:13 PM

as I said...

... over on the Cashill "William Ayres wrote "Dreams of my Father" comments, people will believe what they want to believe. A rabid birther told me just this weekend that he saw Obama's real, authentic Ethiopian birth certificate on Ebay. On Ebay! It must be real!

The fascinating thing about conspiracy theorists is that once they've glommed on to a conspiracy, then every attempt to disprove it is yet more evidence of the insidious pervasiveness of the conspiracy. Everyone is in on it, dontcha know, except for the few special people blessed with special insight and special knowledge of THE TRUTH.

It's really just another way of making themselves feel important and privileged, and it's no surprise that conspiracy theorists are primarily older white men who are paranoid about losing the status that being a white man has accorded them.
