Anti-American Terrorists

Will Drake be arrested, imprisoned, and water-boarded to find out what he knows about other possible domestic assassins? How about Randall Terry, who has had actual contact with these terrorists in the past? Given the history of violent extremism within the anti-American anti-choice movement, this is clearly the "ticking time-bomb" scenario in action. We know that in the past these incidents did not occur in isolation: indeed, Dr. Tiller was being harassed leading up to his murder. Law enforcement has increased protection around many clinics this week, anticipating follow-up attacks from these freedom-hating zealots. Shouldn't we be rounding up all white Christian males who are active in the anti-choice movement and questioning them? Or is what's good for the Islamofascist goose not applicable to the Christofascist gander?

Even if you believe "abortion is murder"...

How would Tiller be worse than Hitler? Did he perform and/or order 6 million abortions?

And what exactly DID Jesus say about abortion? Anybody got a chapter and verse citation - or did he not say anything at all?

Tuesday, June 2, 2009 01:31 PM

Wow

So a doctor that performs abortions is worse than someone who orchestrated the deaths of over six million people just because of their religion???

Wiley Drake is either a fool or just a vile little excuse of a human being. Or possibly both.

Far greater in his atrocities than Adolf Hitler?

Was Drake drunk when he said that, or was he simply suffering from oxygen deprivation due to having his head up his ass?

Now I am sad that he went to hell...

I wonder if Drake is familiar with "Judge not lest ye be judged"? I'm no longer religious, but I recall that deciding who is or isn't going to hell isn't up to us mere mortals.

He could have chosen Jesus Christ and when he died went to heaven.

Dr. Tiller was on his way into church when he was murdered. Of course it was a Lutheran church, not Southern Baptist, so in Drake's mind, perhaps being a Lutheran doesn't count as being a Christian.

I have a strange hunch and a strange feeling that there is a special, superheated, super-hot place in hell for people like George Tiller.

I don't believe in hell, but if I did, I'd wager that people like Wiley Drake and Scott Roeder are far more likely to have rooms reserved in that place than would Dr. George Tiller.

terrorists that are too dangerous to allow to run free

Obama says that there is a catagory of terrorists that cannot be tried in courts but may be locked up forever because they are too dangerous to be allowed to run free. I think Randel Terry qualifies as well as many other members of the anti-free-choice movement. If a member of Al Qaeda was walking the streets, wouldn't it be OK for a patriotic citizen to shoot them? What about a member of the Taliban? Or the American Taliban?

'Terrorism' charges double standard?

From the NY Times article about the gentleman who shot up an army recruiting center in AK:

"Mr. Muhammad will be charged with one count of capital murder and 15 counts of terroristic acts, one for each person who was hit or endangered by the shots he fired."

From the article in the same paper about Dr. Tiller's murderer:

"...police said they expected that Mr. Roeder would be charged with murder and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the death of the doctor"

No mention of terrorism-related charges for the doctor's killer, even though, if they are going to be applied, they're arguably more appropriate in his case. Interesting.

Alan Keyes is batshit!

Looking back on it more and more, it seems obvious that the right created the rise of Barrack Obama by putting Alan Keyes up agianst him back in 2004. This guys views are so far over the extreme he had no chance of getting elected dog catcher! I guess next time they compalin about Obama being a "socialist" we should remind them how he got onto the political stage in the first place.

WTF???

"...far greater in his atrocities than Adolf Hitler."

is this guy for real? maybe--maybe not but he certainly is living proof that there is no such thing as god because if there was that god would certainly come down and slap this clown into next week!

Right Wing Filth

I understand his point. I believe the world will be a better place when scum like Alan Keyes and Wiley Drake are gone. I wish it would occur to them in their tiny lizard brains and killed themselves.

Terrorism is terrorism

Any rightist who supports this murder to any degree is either a terrorist or a terrorist sympathizer. There is no gray area here.

And however you think a terrorist should be treated... .that's exactly how you should be treated as well.

The Bible on abortion

In response to an earlier poster

"And what exactly DID Jesus say about abortion? Anybody got a chapter and verse citation - or did he not say anything at all?"

I don't think Jesus ever mentioned it but the god of the old testament surely had no problem with abortion. Check out Hosea chapter 13, where he orders the slaughetr of a bunch of people, specifically including pregnant women, who are to have there bellies slit open and the fetuses killed.

Arguably not "abortion" because mom dies too, but clearly no prohibition against killing the unborn.

More from the bible

From the Skeptics Annotated Bible

What the Bible says about Abortion

Abortion is not murder. A fetus is not considered a human life.

If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life. -- Exodus 21:22-23

The Bible places no value on fetuses or infants less than one month old.

And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy estimation shall be three shekels of silver. -- Leviticus 27:6

Fetuses and infants less than one month old are not considered persons.

Number the children of Levi after the house of their fathers, by their families: every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number them. And Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD. -- Numbers 3:15-16

God sometimes approves of killing fetuses.

And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive? ... Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. -- Numbers 31:15-17

(Some of the non-virgin women must have been pregnant. They would have been killed along with their unborn fetuses.)

Give them, O LORD: what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts. -- Hosea 9:14

Yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb. -- Hosea 9:16

Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up. -- Hosea 13:16

God sometimes kills newborn babies to punish their parents.

Because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die. -- 2 Samuel 12:14

God sometimes causes abortions by cursing unfaithful wives.

The priest shall say unto the woman, The LORD make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when the LORD doth make thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell. And this water that causeth the curse shall go into thy bowels, to make thy belly to swell, and thy thigh to rot: And the woman shall say, Amen, amen. ...

And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people. And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed. -- Numbers 5:21-21, 27-28

God's law sometimes requires the execution (by burning to death) of pregnant women.

Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt. -- Genesis 38:24

What a sick fucking book.
