I'm with Wanda Sykes on how much this guy scares me. While everything about her bit seemed exaggerated, I in truth wouldn't want my children getting into a car with this guy. Why does everyone think he is continuing to force a platform? He seems paranoid, but why he really scares me is that he makes me paranoid too in an opposite direction w/r/t conspiracies.

Perhaps someone could explain to Cheney that it is not some "vast conspiracy", what it actually means when the majority of the world is telling you that your position is wrong is that... you are wrong! But it seems he can't see that he could be mistaken in any of his guises, VP, Republican or warmonger.

There's just so many ways to say it.

The Mullahs and Ahmajenahad make talk a good game about wiping out the Zionists, but they're savvy enough to know that if even one Iranian nuke gets detonated anywhere in the world, the response from the US and Israel would be so immediate and massive that Tehran would be turned into 50 sqaure miles of black glass.

On the other hand, they're also certain that if they get The Bomb, they won't have to worry that some future Bush or Cheney will invade Iran. (It's kind of their version of MAD -- or of Israel's Samson Option, where they pledge to nuke Arab capitals if Israel is ever on the verge of being overrun.)

So, I think at this point, the world would be a lot more comfortable living with a nuke-armed Iran than a nuke-armed N. Korea or Pakistan. There's some real crazies in those countries....

P.S. For Iranians of all politcal persuasions, their nuclear program conjures up the same sort of pride that the space program did in the US back in the '60s. So attacking the program would probably be the most effective way to totally unite the currently faction-ridden Iranian population in complete resistance against that attacker....
