Karl Rove is making a list, checking it twice

The former Bush advisor got in a public tiff with a one-time congressional Republican staffer, and told his adversary he has a "file" on his old boss.

The letters thread is now closed.

Karl Rove and Eating Out

Given the warm feelings Karl engenders from fellow republicans he may want to reconsider eating out. The last time I looked most restaurants have knives.

Feeney was prepared to "Go Nuclear" to get Bush installed in the WH in 2000

Yeah I'm surprised at Rove for being even more of a vengeful ratfucker than I imagined....back in 2000 Feeney was prepared to set their own set of Florida Electors if the recount situation didn't go their way. They would have then had two sets of Electors and thrown it to Congress, which is pretty fucking audacious of Feeney. It didn't come to that but Rove knows this all too so Im surprised he lashed out.

This prick is violating the cardinal rule...don't shit in your own nest. This and his incoherent lashing out at Biden indicates to me Rove knows his number is coming up and is prepared to take everyone down with him if need be, including and especially his erstwhile allies!

Pass the popcorn...

Tom Feeney's defeat is his own fault.

I agree with Karl Rove on this, but probably not for the same reason.

If the Republicans in congress had done their jobs - if they had been willing to question the Bush administration on the Iraq war, on illegal wiretapping, on secret prisons and military tribunals, if they had demanded answers instead of condoning secrecy - then they might still be in control of congress today.

Tom Feeney was defeated because he served the administration at the expense of his constituents.

Of course, the fact that Karl Rove keeps files on people who cross him is pretty damn frightening. But it is not surprising.

Rove Limbaugh 2012!

Let the Republican professional bullshitters, rapists, thieves, mass-murderers and wreckers of civil society put their mouths where their money is, and run Rove and Limbaugh for presidency 2012.

It was the Charlie Palmer Steakhouse

Not a buffet, but I can assure you, you won't go hungry there.

Friday, April 10, 2009 11:55 AM

Are we sure this happened at an upscale DC restaurant....

Because frankly, if Karl was there, I'd be more inclined to believe it was an all-you-can-eat buffet.

Friday, April 10, 2009 11:34 AM

Maybe I missed the gist of this conversation

"Well I hope the file is the beginning of the conversation and not the end. I would love to disabuse you of whatever you think of Tom Feeney's loyalty from this file."

Rove f'd over his boss (and Roe by extension) and now Roe is mewing about convincing Turd Blossum that Feeney is "loyal"? If it had been me I would have taken Rove out to the street without comment.

Republicans are cowards and boot-lickers, unwilling to defend their "principles" even among themselves.

Friday, April 10, 2009 11:32 AM

Surprised

I'm actually surprised this doesn't happen more often to Rove. He's pretty recognizeable and if he eats out in public often this is bound to start happening more frequently. I visit my sister and her husband in the DC area quite often. I would love to walk up to Rove's table, tell him what I think of him, and throw a drink in his face. Anyone know the names of the restaurants he frequents in the DC area?

Friday, April 10, 2009 10:55 AM

And I thought ...

it was only lib'ruls with Bush Derangement Syndrome who wanted to pillowcase Karl Rove and beat him to a pulp with socks full of quarters.

That list appears to be growing, as well.

Friday, April 10, 2009 10:36 AM

I can picture Karl in a cocktail dress

and matching pumps. It's a really ugly picture, but it's not a stretch.

Friday, April 10, 2009 09:54 AM

Karl "Big Pimpin'" Rove

Are we sure that Karl wasn't walking around with gold chains around his neck and a bottle of Courvoisier in his hand and retorted "I'm Karl Rove, BITCH!"?

Friday, April 10, 2009 09:54 AM

More evidence

That Karl Rove is Nixon without the charisma and/or J. Edgar Hoover without the fashion sense.

Friday, April 10, 2009 09:52 AM

In prison...

I think a file may be more useful than a steak knife.

Although you can guarantee Rove will be the willing Bitch of the baddest guy there.

Friday, April 10, 2009 09:49 AM

Does anyone like Rove?

Obviously he is considered despicable by the Democrats but it seems to me that the rank-and-file Republicans should despise him too. He and his "permanent Republican majority" idiots have turned their party into an political afterthought who are blamed, by most of America, for every problem in the US and who are seen only as obstructionists to any idea the Democrats have.

Of course that doesn't prevent him (or his partner in crime Cheney) from spouting off their idiocy at any given opportunity.

Friday, April 10, 2009 09:49 AM

Karl Rove?

Attempting to be physically intimidating? Now, THAT'S funny. I can't imagine this cowardly little marshmallow doing anything other than crapping his pants if someone threatened him physically. I'd love to have the personal opportunity to test this theory.

Friday, April 10, 2009 09:45 AM

Rove better get used to this:

I have a feeling he will be fending off the accusations of former colleagues for a long time. This guy took credit for getting Bush into office, let's see him take the blame for the GOP's demise.

Friday, April 10, 2009 09:45 AM

My God

Karl Rove is Greta Van Susteren.

Friday, April 10, 2009 09:42 AM

Too bad

Mr. Lizard lips won't even defend himself by bitch slapping! Cheny is the scariest p.O.S that ever set foot in Washington and that covers a lot of criminals and miscreants, murders and spies. Maybe someone will call him out to a duel with pistol/shotguns. I'd pay to see that.

Friday, April 10, 2009 09:41 AM

where's his other list

I wonder if he's keeping tabs of all the unpatriotic idiots who want Barak to fail?

Friday, April 10, 2009 09:37 AM

Baby snacking

Naw...

we are rank amateurs.

They have raised it to high art.

Case in Point: Harry Reid and Joe Lieberman.

We are so tough.

We are baby snackers.

Sure.

Friday, April 10, 2009 09:34 AM

Nancerich

We are pretty good at snacking on our babies too.

Friday, April 10, 2009 09:32 AM

Pretty soon

there will be fist fights...

and drinks thrown in faces

and people yelling on the sidewalk...

and there will be blood.

They always eat their young, these guys.

Friday, April 10, 2009 09:13 AM

J. Edgar Rove

I wonder how he dresses in private.

Friday, April 10, 2009 09:11 AM

No honor among thieves

"You guys wouldn't be in the White House without Tom."

Says it all, right there.

and p.s. you two: you're not in the WH anymore.

Friday, April 10, 2009 09:11 AM

I have a file

I have a file! He sounds like Joe McCarthy.. what the hell

Friday, April 10, 2009 09:08 AM

The only thing Rove and his ilk understand is a good asskicking.

I'm unemployed and struggling to start a business, but I'd gladly contribute to Roe's defense fund if he punched out Rove.

Friday, April 10, 2009 09:04 AM

Roe v. Rove

What did he say, and when did he say it?

I loved Roe's retort to Karl:

Rove: "Well, I have a file on the things Tom Feeney said about George Bush."

Roe: "That says more about you than me that you kept a file on Tom Feeney."
