Nothing to do with Dean, but I'm sure lots of people like to see "stock broker" and "do time" in the same sentence these days.
About time that CNBC started having subject matter experts chiming in rather than just money crunchers.
Dean can provide that link that shows people the connection between a 20th century (let along 21st century) health care structure and the economy.
How about being governor of Vermont?
... Dean is a political operative with an agenda.
You don't see much reporting, in the traditional sense, anymore. The talking heads and their guests are all pushing their agendas via their interpretations, their spin, and more often than not, their own "facts." I'm sure the network execs have decided this is how they like it.
The only bizarre part is that Dean is from "the Democratic wing of the Democratic Party." Has CNBC learned from MSNBC about the ratings bonanza you can get from airing a non-reactionary point of view every now and then? Could it be that money has overcome ideology?
Obama's refusal to appoint Howard Dean to his cabinet is nothing but a shame. I have to believe that Obama is listening to the wrong people in denying Dean his place at the table. A place he earned with his contributions to the Obama campaign.
