and boy is he pissed! ...keeps mubbling something about "they believe in tax cuts for the rich but not in me..." I wouldn't want to be a repug with a loose tooth.
but rather like .shooting a barrel of fish
availble through the Departmenht of Justice: you know, grand jury investigations, indictments issued by the grand jury, followed by public arrests of the alleged perpetrators (including but not limited to Bush, Cheney, Addington, Yoo, Rumsfeld, Feith, et alii), trial by jury, sentencing, and imprisonment at hard labor in Leavenworth.
Truth commissions are for wimps; I want blood from these assholes.
Afraid he might get hooked?
Used to be, I'd see footage on the news of fist fights in the aisles of some foreign country's parliament and think how embarrassing it must be to see your elected representatives doing that sort of thing. Now I think it would be a step up for Congress.
No commission. Get a special prosecutor. Let's be serious about serving justice.
Sure Congress is a bunch of hacks, criminals and fools, but Salon is like the Truthers when it comes to this. It's 100% indictments, imprisonment and execution for all or you'll spend the next 10 years 'uncovering' the conspiracy.
Specter was told repeatedly by me & sent critical information by me as well on crimes committed by a whole host of traitors about Most Wanted Terrorists Captured in America that were covered-up & one such captured terrorist who was under a U.S. federal indictment at the time of his capture - was held 4 like 30+ months b-4 he was released from custody & dumped in Somalia around 1/2007...
This deals with those 7 people identified from that 5/26/2004 press conference held by Ashcroft & Mueller here's the link 2 refresh peoples' memories:
http://www.fbi.gov/page2/may04/bolo052604.htm
I called everyone under the sun / I wrote key members of Congress' Judiciary & Intelligence in both chambers asking 4 a investigation / asking 2 be subpoenaed 2 testify of what I knew - since my knowledge WAS OF A FIRST-HAND ACCOUNT BEING THE
911 CALLER WHO WAS RESPONSIBLE 4 GETTING THEM CAPTURED...
Nothing - NO HEARINGS / NO THOROUGH INVESTIGATION / NO ONE EVER
CHECKED UP ON MY END - Congress just believed the lies that whoever was told or chose 2 speak 2 congress 2 baffle them with bullshit...
Going on 5 years later - still no one has ever checked-up on my end of the story...
Specters' office was sent a large manilla envelope sent
"Certifed Mail / Signature Confirmation in which someone from his office signed 4 it because I got the Green Card receipt back - same goes 4 a number of other congressional members...
You can read all about it & the actions that I have been taking
on multiple fronts especially a 3 page letter + sent 2 O.P.R.
- Office of Professional Responsibility which started a DOJ investigation that the bush administration DELIBERATELY DENIED SECURITY CLEARANCES 2 DOJ OFFICIALS BECAUSE THE TARGET WAS THE WHITE HOUSE...
Former u.s.a.g. (speedy) gonzales said as much under oath when the Judiciary committee held a hearing on this some time ago when Specter was the chairman...

PSST...MANY MEMBERS OF CONGRESS ARE IN DIRECT VIOLATION OF MORE
THAN 1 FEDERAL STATUE BY BECOMING "ACCESSORIES AFTER THE FACT"
4 THEIR WILLFUL NEGLECT 2 THOROUGHLY INVESTIGATE CRIMES THAT WERE DISCLOSED 2 THEM ON MULTIPLE OCCASSIONS SINCE 6/2004 & ONWARDS...
HERE ARE JUST 2 OF THEM - IN WHICH EVEN MORE FEDERAL VIOLATIONS
ENSUED FROM THEIR BLANTANT LACK OF CONSTITUTIONAL OVERSIGHT CAPABILITIES -- INSTEAD OF JUST BELIEVING THE LIES THAT WERE TOLD 2 THEM WHILE GOVT. OFFICIALS WERE UNDER OATH...
Title 18 U.S.C. § 3. Accessory after the fact.
Whoever, knowing that an offense against the United States had been committed, receives, relieves, comforts or assists the offender in order to hinder or prevent his apprehension, trial or punishment, is an accessory after the fact.
Title 18 U.S.C. § 4 (misprision of felony).
Whoever, having knowledge of the actual commission of a felony cognizable by a court of the United States, conceals and does not as soon as possible make known the same to some judge or other person in civil or military authority under the United States, shall be fined not more than $500 or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
MORE FEDERAL VIOLATIONS CAN BE READ AT THE LINK PROVIDED BELOW:

SO IN ESSENCE SPECTER IS FULL OF SHIT & HE KNOWS IT AS DO A MASS MAJORITY OF THE CONGRESSIONAL MEMBERS WHO WERE TOLD ABOUT THESE CRIMES FOR YEARS ON END -- SOME WAY MORE THAN OTHERS...
This is the same group of people who helped lead this country into the state it's in now. They gave Bush everything, left the barn door open while their rich friends took everything they could. I don't care whose underbelly gets exposed, I want to know who broke the law and who needs to go to jail.
LOL, I swear I didn't read the thread before I posted!
Uh, yeah....
Thirty years ago, I worked on an investigation. All the greaseball potentially-culpable "players" called us, "Boy Scouts on a fishing expedition."
And they accompanied the remark with a certain "knowing" facial expression: Dick Cheney eyes with a G.W. Bush-style smirk.
This is the standard tactic for political creeps. Pay no attention to the Fat Cats behind the curtain. Investigate.
Fuck 'em. ALL of 'em. They ran Washington for the past eight years like they were going to get their "permanent republican majority" and now that they didn't they think they get to dictate the terms? At the risk of soundng like a college stoner, Fuck that Shit!
"Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa., the ranking member of the Judiciary Committee, led the way, saying that it's Congress' role to provide oversight"
Then why didn't you do it? Times up. The pipers come a calln' and he wants to get paid. Shoulda done your job when you had the chance.
Of course these scoundrels don't want any investigation - it would make their supine, craven submission to the Bush Administration all the more obvious - and frankly, I don't see how the Congressional Democrats would fare much better for the late 2006 - late 2008 period.
