Staying puts his Senate seat in play for 2010

A different appointment would make that Democrat a stronger contender in 2010.

Does Burris care? Nope.

O, So Burris SAYS he won't run in 2010?!

Well, since he's a man of his word and never changes his story, we can take THAT to the bank!

Burris would get eaten alive

in the Democratic Primary.

Face it: republicans are better at corruption

This guy gets caught in multiple lies regarding a governor who was indicted for openly trying to sell a senate seat on the phone. Then William Jefferson (an unrelated story, granted) gets caught stuffing $90k in his friggin freezer! Clinton gets busted for spooging on a blue dress.

Republicans, on the other hand, get into power, coordinate world agencies and get a war started based on lies so they can funnel billions quietly to their prized corporations. They torture people in out-of-the-way black sites so that we never have to really face what happened. No fuss, no muss!

C'mon, Democrats. If you're going to try and compete with the Republicans in terms of corruption, get your act together!
